 100th Day Ice Cream

I planned a TON of 100th day activites and when I excitedly listed them off Ella burst into tears and said, "I thought we were going to go out for ice cream."  Usually I would say something momish like, "Our family uses kind words and a kind voice and I can't take you out for ice cream if you are throwing a fit..." but instead I said something like, "Well, of course, we're going out for ice cream too. Let's go jump in a taxi!"  And, I'm glad I did it...pretty sure that is all they will remember of our 100th day celebration and my purpose was definitely to celebrate!

Ella wanted to count to see if we had 100 plants...we're growing herbs and peppers!

I had bought 2 100th day books...they were both for both girls to share but obviously Addy was incredibly disappointed to have to hold something other than the Fancy Nancy book!

I thought the buttons in the gumball machine was adorable...they said it was boring after about 10 seconds and we called it quits!

And, here's Addy!

Addy loves playing games and can play them by herself...but she always wants to be on someone's team.  She usually trades off so that we all get a chance to play with her!  And, her team almost always wins!

Words cannot express Adelaide.  Such a delight!  We are so thankful to the party she adds to our family.

A Bit about Ella

Ella made a little staircase that her slinky could go down.  She is very interested in building these days and we love watching her create!

After months of enduring brief phonics lessons she got a pet fish and developed a love for reading.  Unfortunately the fish died.  Fortunately she is still enjoying reading (albeit still not so into the phonics lessons...I'm hoping she'll thank me someday???)!

This was pointing to the place where all her notes went.

All of Ella's kids...these are incredibly important to her!  She knows all their ages, personalities, etc.

I like to keep the number of pictures on the blog of each girl roughly even but these days Ella is very into having her picture taken and Addy is NOT.

Aren't they so cute?

I put lots of crafty stuff on the table and let them create!  They loved it!

O is for owls and these Oreo/M&M snacks sort of resembled owls but mainly I just love Addy's face!
