• Strengthened authentication and account protection workflows by additional verifications and improving safeguards against malicious inputs.

• Resolved an issue that resulted in incorrect pricing when availability schedules overlapped. Availability and pricing now accurately reflect the rules operators configure.
• Corrected an issue that prevented saving assigned assets on the Daily Manifest page even when inventory was available.

Schedule Grid: Session Drawer enhancements for bookings in progress

The Schedule Grid now displays a note when sessions have active pre-bookings to improve visibility and clarity - e.g., “2 booking(s) in progress”. The note is clickable, linking directly to the filtered pre-bookings on the Booking Index page.

Availability and Closure Events filters in Product Builder

• Added filters to view active, archived, or all events, helping operators focus on current and upcoming events.
  
• All past events are displayed under “Archived” events.

Auto-adjustment of dates for closest availability

• A new setting allows operators to choose whether the system automatically adjusts unavailable date ranges for products or simply marks them as “Unavailable.”
• This setting gives greater control over how availability is displayed.

Strengthen PCI compliance and data security

• The system now sends a consolidated daily email listing all bookings where credit card details were detected and masked — improving visibility compared to the previous flow, which sent only a single notification daily per first detection.
• Redaction tool extended to customer profiles.

• Previously signed waivers would now be automatically apply to a guest’s future bookings within a set validity period.
• This eliminates repetitive signing for returning customers and reduces operator overhead.

• Resolved an issue where copying products with 2+ images caused missing/broken images in the copied product.

• Fixed a critical issue where availability failed to save correctly and caused products to appear unavailable on the inventory calendar and booking pages.

• Resolved and issue where Flextime product availability was not calculated as expected when “span closed days” is enabled

• Resolved an issue that prevented users from selecting or entering validity dates when issuing a gift card.

Copy Bookings 👯

Doubling up on work when you want to duplicate a booking is a thing of the past. Now, create a new booking from an existing one in a single click. With our Copy Booking feature, you can quickly create a new booking for an existing customer while carrying over all of their booking information.

Same-day bookings 🤜 vs. 🤛 Booking windows

Chase helped resolve a bug where day, night, or timeslot products wouldn’t allow same day booking if they had a Booking Window rule applied.

Missing Billing Page 👻

Selina caught and fixed an issue with our Billing page disappearing for some operators.

Improvements

• 💸 Real Refunds. We’ve heard from many of our operators that there was a missing piece when it came to refunds with Checkfront. Now, if you need to issue a refund for any reason, you or your customer will receive a full refund – booking fee included.

• 🗓️ Daily Manifest just got better. Built to show all your upcoming bookings in deep detail, our Daily Manifest got some upgrades. Now, it's even easier to:

- Filter and find bookings by Product Category

- See, select, and assign which guest types are allocated to which assets.

- Check-in guests quickly

- See exactly which assets are assigned to any booking

• We introduced a new way for our operators to test big, new features and, most importantly, provide immediate feedback with Checkfront Labs 🧪!

• Our booking page customization feature got a design overhaul in Checkfront Labs to make weaving your brand into your booking flow even easier.

• To make online payments seamless for our operators, we introduced Checkfront Payments 💲. With booking logistics and payment processing all in one place, our operators now have complete control of their customer’s booking journey.

• We listened to our operators who wanted to protect their business from problematic bookings and launched our Blocklist 🚫 feature.

• We launched our Automatic Redaction 🙈 feature for our Managed customers who are passionate about GDPR compliance.

• Operators can increase revenue with more guest booking options thanks to our Guest Availability Customization ✏️ feature.

Releasing new features is only half of the equation! Listening and ensuring those features work the way our operators need them to is just as important. Here are the top improvements we made thanks to your valuable feedback.

• 🗣 Lost in translation. We resolved a handful of issues around our in-app translation capabilities that were causing the need for workarounds and fixes.

• 🕰️ Turn back the clocks. We heard from our operators that there were issues with products not being bookable over daylight savings. We fixed that!

• 👥 GetYourGuide groups. Products with multiple guest types (adult, child, senior, etc.) are now bookable by GetYourGuide groups. Operators simply navigate to their GetYourGuide integration and add “groups” under each guest type drop-down.

• ⚡️ Electric Slide. Get a better look at how your availability is impacted in the Inventory Calendar with our side panel that automatically slides open to see Shared Inventory.

Announcing: Guest Availability Customization ☑️ | Unlock the full potential of your booking options with Guest Availability Customization.

Easily set which guest types can book at what times without the hassle of duplicating products. Add as many guest types to a single product as you need, then toggle them on or off in your Availability Events – from kids to seniors or beginners to experts.

Then, deliver a seamless booking experience for customers with guest types that automatically display or disappear depending on the day, week, or time selected.

GetYourGuide cut off 🗓 | Taylor fixed a small issue with our GetYourGuide integration where timeslots ending at midnight would cause an error in GYG.

We're a little late to our September Release Notes, but that's because we've been busy squashing bugs! Read below to learn about some of the ways our development team has made Checkfront better for you.

Fixes

🗓 Calendar cut-off | Our team member Ben fixed the date header at the top of the report that would appear cut-off when viewing 3 or more weeks at a time.

👻 Missing PDFs | When users were exporting PDF reports, they weren’t appearing in the Account Activity Log. Ben fixed that, and now they appear the same way all other reports do.

🗣️ Lost in translation | We fixed a couple of issues with translations!

• While Checkfront offers full translation for products, booking forms, waivers, invoices, and emails, we caught that dates weren’t properly translated to an operator’s chosen language. Now it does!

• We sorted a bug where custom translations for “Check In,” “Check Out,” and “Reset Check In” were appearing in the Daily Manifest but not the Booking Calendar. (These were tackled by Ben, too. Big high fives for Ben!)

🖱️ Sneaky scrolling | Eduardo fixed a bug where scrolling down the page in Product Builder would change the amounts added to base pricing, group pricing, or custom rates.

🙈 Hidden bookings | We fixed an issue where availability numbers for products were displaying differently across the calendar, sales report, and the booking page if there were 50+ individual bookings. Thanks to Ben for tackling this one.

💲 Pricing Event limits | If you had more than 50 pricing events on a single product, only the latest 50 would be shown. If an operator has many upcoming pricing changes, pricing events created first will not be editable or adjustable. Ben fixed that!

🌝 Nightly allocation | We resolved an issue with the date and time display for Nightly allocated items/products. Specifically, the "drawer" was showing the end date concluding a day earlier than expected, so inventory appeared to be released at 12:00 AM the previous day. Additionally, a discrepancy with Daily or Nightly allocated products, where the system displays identical start and end dates/times for single-day bookings, has been fixed!

Checkfront Payments expands into new regions 🌎

Checkfront Payments is now available to operators in New Zealand, Sweden, and Norway.

Make every transaction count and seamlessly manage payments at every booking stage. Process deposits, settle up remaining balances, issue refunds, and run reports all within Checkfront - no integration needed.

With no start-up costs or separate monthly fees, make the switch by navigating to: Manage > Ecommerce Setup > Select Checkfront Payments.

Fixes

• Fixed an issue with products not being bookable over daylight savings. Now products with min/max duration rules display as available on the booking page.

⚡️Automatic Redaction

Say goodbye to manual data security methods (and the errors that can sometimes come along with it!) with our new automatic redaction feature. The criteria to censor is aligned with GDPR requirements and can be put on a schedule that works for your business. Only available on Managed plans.

• Products in Checkfront with multiple guest types (adult, child, senior, etc.) are now bookable by GetYourGuide groups. Operators simply navigate to their GetYourGuide integration and add “groups” under each guest type drop-down.
• Primary guest who made a booking can now click “share link” on the Guest Form stage of the booking flow to share the form with other customers in their party to fill out their guest details.
