Well, I had to share a pic of my roly poly tubby boy. These pics were taken after one bath, after activity days before we got all the way ready for bed. I love Beckett's chunky cheeks and legs. He is very kissable and loves to give kisses. Annika and Ashton love him. We have had a crazy month, we heard Ryan got laid off, but they gave him 6 more weeks of work. So, we started the job hunt everywhere, went through every emotion and worry and fear and excitement in the last few weeks. We got good news yesterday, Kraft hired him back for a promotion at work. YEAH! That means no moving, no interviews, no selling a house, no more resumes to post. This is a huge relief and blessing in our lives. We feel like we learned a lot and Heavenly Father supported us along with our friends and families. Just a little of what has been going on around here.

Semi-Update
This photo is from Beckett's first week home, when he was still a little yellow. I know it has been a while, but I have been busy and lets admit I have never been good about the blogging thing anyways. But here is what we have been up to. We have had a rough couple of months. This baby thing has thrown us for a loop. I have looked a little more tired and ragged, the house messier, we have been later or non existent to more things and just way more occupied. He has been a momma's boy from the start. And there was a lot of crying the first 3 months by Beckett and me. But, we turned a corner at about the beginning of December. He is pleasant, not perfect, but VERY enjoyable. The kids LOVe him. I can not look and squeeze and kiss and blubber enough. I am starting to get some good laughs too. Ryan is tickling and rubbing his whiskers and bonding with him too. It just took time. I mean, who could expect more when Ryan and I are very busy with church callings, have a third grader with activities and really hard digital homework. A silly now 5 year old boy that loves attention, cuddles, Legos, Wii and his momma and then throw a newborn into it. However, we are starting to feel more normal and we are so happy to have Beckett in our family. I waited a long time for him and I think that has made him even more special for me. I love to see Annika turn in to a little mother. Most of the time she is very patient and she tries so hard with him. Here are a few pics and things we have been up to.
One Sunday afternoon we took a drive up to Mt. Charleston. It was early October and the weather was still pretty warm. It is nice that the mountain is like only 10 minutes from our house. Here is a pic from our adventure. Since then we have slowed down a bit. Beckett does not love the car. If we are driving in the evening hours he screams the entire time. Including one LONG trip home from St. George.
So, for Halloween, we had a witch, Optimus Prime the Transformer and a monkey-but that never lasted long. Annika lucked out and Grandma Urry made her costume this year and it turned out adorable. Way cuter than anything I could ever do. I usually try to make or customize my kids costumes, but with a new baby that was not going to happen so Grandma stepped in to help. We spent Halloween night with our usual soup night at Garners and then trick or treating with them and then back to our house because the kids LOVE to pass out candy at our house. Halloween weekend Ashton had an ear infection. The first of two in about a month. We know these, we deal with them a lot with him and have had tubes for 2 1/2 years, but this one Halloween weekend was different. Come to find out, one tube fell out and that is why the pain was extreme. After two in a row, and talking to the ENT and figuring out we met our medical deductible this year, we opted to do the ear surgery quick and now he has one blue tube, his NV one and one white one, his UT one. It was quick and easy and we are happy to not have any more painful ear infections.
Random cute pic of Baby Beckett. I swear this third kid gets way less photos and memories. Sadly enough the other day we had to look up his birthdate.
Ok, so one thing everyone always notices first on Beckett is his cheeks. Man does he have them. But, this is what happens to big cheeks when you lay on your stomach for a nap. Do not worry I do not let him sleep on his belly, but that night it worked and I sat next to him the entire time on my bed doing laundry. And, let me just say it is a good thing he did finally sleep that night because the laundry needed to be folded. Everyone was out of pants and socks. That has been the hardest thing to keep up with. I think it has something to do with the fact that this munchkin loves his mama and loves to be held-like ALL the time. And more often than not, I give in. Those cheeks just call for me to kiss them.
So, here is what they look like now, right before Christmas! We had a great Thanksgiving with the Urry family. That ended early because of a fussy child-the youngest of the group. But, the dinner was good and we missed out on games. Bummer! So, we did Christmas Eve with my family. After a great Christmas at home, church and feeling so blessed and visiting family. We head over to the Urry's for Christmas dinner. Marianne went all out on the prime rib. But after about bite two, Ryan choked really bad. The heimlich did not help and he felt as if it got lodged, so Ryan, Beckett and I spent the night in the ER. All is good now, but definitely a night to remember. Just an end of the year update on us. We are busy, but good, trying to fit in any moment with the kids even if it means less laundry, cooking and dishes time. Here is hoping 2012 brings us peace and a time to love and enjoy our family.
