…and how!
I remember it being one of those mornings when the air hung heavy, and depression was a dark cloud with no silver lining. The best place to go to, at such times, is your friendly neighbourhood park, or the school playground if you are so fortunate as to be able to go to either one of them 😀
That morning, as I sat on the steps of the gallery of our school ground, that sad morning changed. All because of the playing field 🙂 All because of a pint sized 4 feet wonder, who took a free kick for his team – sizing the distance, the run up, turning slightly, lofting that football clean into the inside corner of the goal post! The cheer that came from me was totally involuntary, surprising me, as well as those little people teeming the field!
Ah. But the magical moment does not end there- what was even more amazing was the way in which his pint sized team members made way for him to do so- respectfully standing at a distance, making way for him to slice the ball in.
And more amazing yet – this fantastic shot, in the middle of three football matches, happening simultaneously on the ground. Crazy ain’t it?
The sad morning smiled. 🙂

For Day#17 of #RamblingsInFebruary; catching up, though getting the posts in the goal posts is rather tough 😀

This brought a smile to my face, imagining you sitting on the steps, the goal happening and you cheering 😀

A rare grey morning
Dark clouds spawning
Then a precision goal
Her blues stole
And soon had everyone smiling!
