Train Trip -Boise 2014

Here we are loading up in Horseshoe Bend, Idaho.  We had Executive Tickets which included a nice coach that you had to be at least 21 yrs old to ride in and came with a Brunch.

The trip went from Horseshoe Bend to Banks, Idaho and then back again.  When we got to Banks they had an Easter Egg Hunt for all the kids and an old Store/Market/Museum to look at.  Banks used to be a mining town so I guess that's why there's a train in this area to begin with.

The train went up a canyon all along the Boise River and the whole area was really green and pretty.  Spring has come to Boise, even though we are still waiting for it in Idaho Falls.

Boise -April 2014

There is a trail system along the river (Boise Greenbelt) that is over 20 miles and there is a large trail system in the foothills above Boise that is I don't know how many miles.

The Cottonwood Steakhouse was right down on the river and it was a very pleasant evening.  We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was fantastic.

I thought of the grandkids when we saw this slide at the Boise Zoo.  They should have been there.
