A Joyful Evening

My husband just called me from San Fransisco. After eating a nice dinner, paid for by someone else, he is on his way to do this:

As of November 17, 2008 I have a darling new nephew. My brother Kyle and his wife Rachael had their first, the first grandchild of the Havens clan, Chase Dwaine Danger Havens. Yes, that is his real name. He is such a dangerous little baby. And he's dang cute. I haven't gotten to meet him yet, but I will very soon and I can't wait.



On another note. . .

I'm an amateur blogger. Jana came over and blogs came up. Somehow we started talking about how you can comment on blogs. Funny thing, she mentioned how she had commented on one of my blogs, and I was surprised. I had never read a single comment that anyone had made on my blog - until she told me that I had some, which was just last week. Reading the comments was so fun!

I think about blogging often, but I rarely do. And usually it is because I don't really have any new and exciting things to blog about. We pretty much go to school and do homework and work. Our lives are not extremely exciting. Sometimes we do something fun that I could blog about, but I never take pictures. I don't have a single picture from thanksgiving :( I really gotta work on that.

*Who does laundry? I would say 65% I do, 35% Ryan does. He had plenty of practice doing his own, so he's pretty good. And he ALWAYS does it if I ask him.

*Who mows the lawn? Don't have one

*Who cooks dinner? I do, but he's not a bad cook either

*Who drives? He usually does

*Who is first to admit they are wrong? Ryan is much better than I am.

*Who asked who out first? Ryan asked me first, sad we can't remember our first date

He carries my purse a lot. Its kind of funny because we went to my mission reunion and he was carrying it around the whole time on his shoulder - and my mission companion was taking pictures of it to show me. I didn't really realize that this might look funny to other people. I never ask him, he always just grabs it for me. Anyway, that's my little bro with his woman's purse.

NYC and Pumpkins

BEWARE

Yes, this is our pumpkin. Its pretty cool. But its already kind of dying because we carved it a little early. I was pretty excited.

Our dear friends Adam & Katie came over and schooled us with their sweet grave pumpkin. it was all shaved and carved and everything. Then we tried to make pumpkin seeds, cooked them too long, and they were really dry. We went to NYC because Ryan had a medical school interview, and my parents happened to be in town that weekend. It was good to be with the fam again. We went to central park and it was kinda raining. Didn't really get any pictures downtown, but we went to the ESPN store for yummy dessert and got to see the little mermaid!

I couldn't resist posting this because my parents are so stinking cute. This is them on the train while we were heading into town. They were taking pictures together.
