19 Months!

Are you amazed that I'm doing a post ON TIME!? WOAH! Haha Let me just say this, SO much has changed in the last month. Braxton, you have just bloomed into a whole different person.

You said "cookie" for the first time ever on August 9th, 2011

You said "Nana" (banana) for the first time ever one August 11th, 2011. I had just gotten you out of bed. I asked you what you wanted for breakfast, not expecting and actual response and you blurted out NANA! And I had to ask you again to make sure I heard you right! I LOVE that you are starting to talk! It is the most adorable thing right now.

You had your very first peanut butter and jelly sandwich on August 9th, 2011. They say to wait till you are 2 years old, but I figure, if you have an allergy to it, then it is better to find out now, rather than later. And, you didn't have a reaction! So I don't think you are! YAY!

You're still signing like crazy, which I love!

You are OBSESSED with Cars, and Airplanes, Dogs, Cats, and Fish!

You absolutely LOVE your "Car" slippers, you won't take them off your feet. You even sleep with them on.

You are now in a size 4 diaper!

Your clothing sizes range from 12-24 months.

You love drinking your milk and water.

You have become very independent and HATE it when I try to do anything for you.

You throw lots and lots of tantrums. Please stop these soon!

You are adorable, but you are SO mean to your cousin. Or anyone close to your size or age.

You have bitten and drawn blood, you have scratched and drawn blood, you have pulled hair, pushed, hit, slapped, you name it if it's mean, and you've done it. I hope this phase ends really really fast. It's breaking my heart to see you be so mean.

You're such a good helper to help push the vacuum, throw things away, and even help with your laundry!

We've spent almost a month in Albuquerque with your cousins and family. I think you have really liked it. It is nice to have other people to be around, rather than boring old mom, ALL DAY LONG!!

You have started pushing my buttons! I will ask you to do something, and you will either do the opposite, or do it half way. For instance, I asked you to sit in your chair, so you squat down until I turn my back, and you stand right back up. Or I will count 1....2.... and you will slowly turn away, and wait till the very last second to mind...

You LOVE to listen to music, make music, and dance.

You love playing in dirt.

You absolutely LOVE swinging on swings!! Or just being outside in general.

When you tickle you say "tickle tickle tickle" but it's in your own language. I won't even try to type it out! One day I will get it on video!

You got your 3rd haircut ever!

You fell off a chair and got your very first goose bump ever. I probably cried more than you did. I'm so sorry it happened.

You wanted to ice it yourself, but you were icing the wrong spot, silly goose!!

You also walked in front of the teeter-totter and got bumped in the forehead. You poor little thing.

Everything else from your 18 month post still applies! I love you Braxton. You are the light of my life. You bring me so much joy and happiness. Everyday is something new, and I look forward to it. I love to laugh with you, and giggle, and tickle with you!

Splash pad!

Oh my goodness! Today was a BLAST! I've been babysitting my sister's 4 kids for her while she is in Hawaii! And it has been super fun! So today I took them to story time and after that we went to a splash park. Can I just say SUPER FUN! I think all the kids enjoyed it (even little J after a while!) The older kids were having water fights with all the other kids, and I just played with the babies. Here are some pictures.. They say a thousand words!

18 Months!

Ok... Seriously, I'm a slacker! Let's face it! At least I'm only 9 days late, not 4 months late this time!

Braxton, you are doing so much at 18 months!

You are starting to talk more and more! You can say -Doggie, -Kitty, -Birdie, -Car, -Balloon, -Fishie, -Mom, -Daddy, -Jaycee, -IiiiiiiKE (Isaac), horsie, Uh-Oh, Wow.
You're still signing! You can sign Balloon, mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, fishy, doggy, car, kitty, ball, milk, more, eat, food, drink, ice cream, ice, hot, cold, baby, popcorn, blankie, bath, birdie, I love you (looks like he is pointing a gun!), please, and thank you, snack (he made this up himself, but he points to his belly with one finger. Which makes sense, you want a snack in your belly?!)
You know that a doggy says Woof, and kitty says MEEEEEEOW, and cow says MOO.
You know where your eyes, ears, mouth, and nose are!
We took you to the doctor on your 18 month birthday, and you had an ear infection. That makes number 6! Yes, you read that right, number 6!! Next one you get, you will get tubes!
You LOVE ice!
You LOVE balls
You have an incredible throwing arm. When I was in the store, you threw something and someone walking by said, WOW, he has an amazing throw! He can throw that so far!! It is also very powerful, and it hurts sometimes!
You have become really interested in airplanes and motorcycles. You can hear an airplane before I can even spot it. Same thing with balloons and balls!
I took you on your first motorcycle ride on July 14th, 2011. You more than loved it. You were going WOW the whole time!! I had to get you off, only by you kicking and screaming.
You love music and dancing
You have moved up to a size 4 diaper!
You are wearing 18-24 size pants and shirts. some 12 month shirts still fit you
You are wearing 3 different sizes in shoes, 3, 4, and 5. Depending on the shoe! It's crazy!
You love being outside, swinging on swings, sliding one slides, running, walking, and being pushed in your little green car (Thanks Mikelle!)
You pick your nose. Once, you even wiped it on my face. GROSS
You LOVE Bentley, and any dog for that matter!
You still HATE your teeth being brushed, some nights I'm half tempted to get a straight jacket, you're lucky I love you!
You usually sleep 8-8 depending on if we keep you on schedule or not.
You take one nap a day
You give the BEST kisses and hugs. Sometimes you will grab my face with both hands and kiss me, you will also look off into the sky while you kiss me. Cutest thing ever!!
When we get you out of your crib in the morning, or nap time you take a deep breath and then say "HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII". I love it! Please don't grow up!
You LOVE your blanket. You can't go anywhere without it. And you will not sleep without it.. We have a problem on our hands. But It's so cute for now! You also made up your own sign for blankie. You hold your hand against your face. Which makes perfect sense!
We ask you to say "Orange", but all you do is move your mouth, it is hilarious!
