Need A Logo?
With this newfound fame, I figure now is a good time as ever to brag about my sister. She owns her own logo design business and I offered her a free, limited-time spot on my now famous blog. :) Just kidding, I wouldn't ever charge her, of course. She's just too good to not showcase on my blog and I figure there are many of you out there that may have started a new business and are looking for a logo designer that doesn't cost an arm and a leg...but looks like it did. Of course I'm bias, she's my sister but I really love her work and am always amazed at how effortless it is for her to design classy, stylish logos. So if you're in the market for a new logo or want to refresh your business's look, click on the link below and head to her website and she can help you out.

Rewind: Olivia Reading
This was last February. Olivia had just started to learn how to walk. She was a late walker by our standards. Walker set the bar high by walking at 9 months. He actually started walking before he started to crawl. Funny boy. Olivia was a crawler from early on. She mastered the army crawl and knew she could get anywhere that way so walking wasn't a priority. We couldn't get this girl to sit still. Walker could sit for hours and play with the toys around him, Olivia had no interesting in sitting, she was a mover. This day I got her to sit still long enough to take some cute pictures and then she was up and at 'em. Her love for books still continues. She's content when she has a book. I hope that lasts.

It's Been Awhile
I'm back online. This week I had a scare. I thought I had lost my blog. I went to bed with my blog intact and woke up to find out that it had been deleted. Due to a very kind friend who had a connection at Google, I was able to get my request to be reinstated expedited and I have my beloved blog back. It took a near-death experience for me to appreciate this little gem in my life. So I'm motivated to be a better blogger. I can't promise much but I can promise posts that are not separated by months and months of silence.
I will give fair warning, if you haven't noticed, I haven't been that great of a blogger for, oh say, the last year. So I'm going to be backtracking, while trying to stay up-t0-date. So you'll have to bear with me as I rewind time and try and capture some of our last year. I promise, it will be good.
It's great to see you again.
xoxo

The Kiddos and Easter
We had such a great Easter Sunday. We could not have asked for better weather. We joined our neighbors with at their family farm today and we loved every minute. Even though it wasn't our family, it was great to be with family. They were so warm and inviting, we immediately felt like family. We had Easter dinner and then the kids ran around the farm in search of easter eggs. Since this was Walker 4th Easter Egg hunt this week, he was a pro. He loved hunting for eggs. I think this will be a pasttime for the next little bit with him. This was Olivia's first experience with Easter and the whole egg hunting bit and she took to it immediately. She's already quite fond of picking things up and putting them in buckets or baskets, so this was right up her alley. They were lucky kids as they got to have 2 easter egg hunts in one day. We had one in the morning around the house and then again at the farm. I tried to get a picture of Olivia and Walker in their Easter best, but this was the best I could do. Olivia was not having it. She did not want to stand still or be touched. So this will have to do.
And I have to give a shout out to my dear friend, Traci. She made Olivia's dress back when Olivia was born and it has been hanging on Olivia's closet door for 18 months and she can finally fit into it. I adore this dress. Traci is so talented and I'm lucky enough to be on the receiving end of her extreme talents. I do have to say, it does break my heart just a little to know that Olivia is big enough to fit in that dress. It seems like yesterday I was looking at that dress and having a hard time imagining my little baby girl ever fitting into it, and here she is...rocking the dress. Ahhhh, 'tis life. Thanks Traci, I love the dress. :)
Easter Time
I can't express how much I love Springtime. God is kind to usher in Summertime with a small moment of perfection called Spring. The trees are amazing right now as they bloom with their beautiful white and pink flowers. It really does resemble a popcorn explosion. I love, love Spring. Part of the love for Spring is Easter. What a great holiday to celebrate during this renewal of life. As the world resurrects from the dreary Winter time, we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I am grateful to Him and His love for me. May I remember Him always.

Celebrating Spring
I love, love, love this time of year. The trees begin to bloom, the grass is greener and it smells like Spring. I feel like everyone is coming out of a deep winter's sleep. We rub our eyes as they adjust to the sun that has been so elusive for the past 5 months and it feel good. Here is a list of songs that express my joy for this time of year, a celebration of spring and a celebration of the sun. Life is good.
