Christmas Morning

The kids actually slept in this year until a little after 8.  I thought it was funny that both Delaney and Baylor walked into the living room with blankets over their heads so they wouldn't look to see what Santa brought them until it was time.

Even though there wasn't that one thing they were hoping for, I think they were happy with all they received.

Love this picture of Rick of Rick and his mini-me.

Jax had just woke up from a nap and wasn't feeling picture ready.  I had intended for us to take a family picture on Christmas day but it didn't happen.  I'm sad. :(

We made many funny memories playing catch phrase.  One of my favorites includes Jax describing Die Hard as a Christmas movie.  There were many others including several, where people misread the word.

Every year I can remember, on Christmas Eve, we gathered with my cousins at my grandparents.  It was always a good time. I'm glad this tradition has continued.

The kids loved their Christmas pajamas.

Thanksgiving

I'm at least hitting the major holidays...

I haven't really updated our tree theme in 15 years so I sent Delaney into a meltdown changing it up this year.  She mostly agreed with the ornaments and tree skirt but hated my touch of animal print.  I love it!!!  I reminded them it was called a "mama's tree for a reason.

did not manage to get pics at our Ward gathering.  Afterwards, Delaney insisted on finding out what Black Friday was all about so we ventured to the mall.  We weren't there when the doors opened and with online shopping now, it's really not crazy.  I don't think she got the full experience but she loved shopping and spending time with Emily.

Halloween

After years of attending the fall festival, formerly known as good guy carnival, it was the kids turn to work the event. So hard to believe.

Baylor had a soccer game so he missed the fun.

For Halloween, we hung out at the Hales, watched a little football and the kids entertained us with their dance moves.
