This is a listing of current artifacts being made and given to members of the Barge and items of special inventory/mentions.

For the most part, it’s similar to our world. There are smart phones; there are ramen burgers; people have been to the moon. The main difference is there is magic, and with the magic there are complications. Magic has only been open in the matter of mages; shape shifters were recently outed on a global scale, making it a hot political topic as humans try to debate whether this means they deserve human rights and citizen status.

Which, to most humans, they are unaware that shape shifters are scratching the surface. Most are not aware that there are even dragon shape shifters.

Those that do tend to be either of one of two categories: mages (being meddlers and trouble makers) and hunters (who hunt down those who are magical for various reasons).

But while shapeshifters work together in various Clans and live in every walk of life, there are other creatures that live beside humans as they adjust and learn how to use daily magics: vampires, and changlings. Vampires have various clans, split by abilities and territories, and are mostly urban living, as they are easier places to blend in and eat humans. Changlings, the rarest of all creatures living among humans, are once-humans that escaped their fae masters and have Freeholds, divided by seasonal courts and feasting instead on human blood but on emotion not just for power but for emotional stability.

Magic for humans can be divided into three categories: what they are born with, what they learn academically, and magic based on faith. A human can have all three, but it is unlikely, as they can need completely different mindsets in maintaining and conducting spells.

It's only been in the Victorian Era that magic became in vogue, and more within the 20th century that magic could be conducted in public without causing witch hunts of the user. There are various laws, structures, and even licensing that is needed for various mages that emerge these days.

Necromancy is a grey area in particular though, and those who are considered Necromancers, unless they work in a medical emergency profession, are still seen in a negative light.
