Leighton-isms

Image
I love the way Leighton's little mind works. The way he explains things always brings a smile to my face :)

The other night, we were on our way to Journey to Bethlehem. I commented that there would be real sheep. The boys were able to watch sheep sheared earlier this fall & that evidently came to mind. Leighton said, when we sheared the sheep, they looked kind of like an apple when it's peeled.

Today I purged everything that was stuck to our refrigerator & piled on top...including the inch of dust, yuck. He went to the fridge to get something and had a bizarre look on his face. I asked him what was up. He said, it looks naked...like the sheep.

Snow Fun!

The kids are LOVING this first big snow of the season...and quite frankly, so am I. I had to miss out on all of the fun last year b/c of my state of preggo-ness, so I'm enjoying it this year!

A couple years ago, we started the tradition of snow ice cream for breakfast on the first snow day...so we began our day off with that.

Daddy was home for lunch, so while he stayed inside with Soph, I went out & helped the kiddos sled.

The neighbor's granddaughter & friend showed up after lunch...so the snow play continued with building a snowman & fort.

They have been outside for almost 2 hours now...I'm guessing they will be wanting some hot chocolate before long!

Sibling Moments

In the midst of all the fighting, pulling hair, kicking & not sharing...they do truly love each other. I have proof :)
