Most of these image have been widely published already, but as with all of the postings on this blog, I'm trying to bring together sets of related pix, and even series of the same swimmer or groups of swimmers. This is a smaller set than usual. I guess silver and grey speedos are un-usual. Don't know why...

Queerty has a nice spread on 30-year-old German backstroke & butterfly Olympic swimmer Thomas Rupprath, featuring photos from Rupprath's own website and other places. Favorite Hunks has two otheres here and here.



Here's his official Speedo page, with a fine embedded image of him in a red Speedo full suit, but you can't grab it, or it would be on this page, too.

Like many handsome young athletes, Rupprath has been bridging to his post-competition future by posing for the advertising cameras. While this blog is about competition swimmers dressed for work in the pool, as long as they are dressed for work and look this good, I see nothing wrong with letting them prance a little while they are not on a starting block. If you disagree, please let me know.

Thomas Rupprath #1 - The Eyes Have It

German Swimmer and official Speedo (c) model, Thomas Rupprath, is a really good looking young man, with amazing, penetrating eyes, and a disarming, boyish smile.

These first photos were taken for an official promotion by Speedo. Most of these photos are wallpaper size: 1024x768. Aussie Wedgies #1

Aussie men are known for yanking their speedos up the cracks of their rears during surf boat competitions -- ostensibly to give them greater traction on the wooden seats in their boats. But I think we all know another reason, and it has to do with just a bit of preening. And God bless them for showing off a little for the rest of us.
