The bday girl

7 years old!  Amazing! 

 

Annalee, I can't believe how fast you are growing up!  You are such a smart and sweet little lady!  You have amazed me this past year with your skills and talents.  You love school and are doing wonderfully with your new found reading skills!  You have so many sweet friends and you love them all dearly.  You are such a little problem solver and nothing gets past you.  You are such a blessing to us and we are so thankful for you every day!!

 

 

We had a fabulous time at the American Girl store and bistro celebrating the bday girl.  Always a good time!

I love fall and I love my girls!! We had such a great morning at Calloway's free fall day!

First Lost Tooth!!

 

After waiting and waiting for a loose tooth and seeing many friends loose tooth after tooth, Annalee has finally lost her first tooth!  She was busy doing her homework and needed a crayon, so she opened the plastic crayon container with her teeth, and it popped right out!  She was shocked!  Soon after the exciting event, she set it on the dining room table as we ate dinner, and unfortunately it disappeared.  My theory is that it got swept away with the dinner dishes/crumbs.  :( 

Fortunately, the tooth fairy still visited her even without an actual tooth to trade! 

Preschool!

Today was Grace and Lily's first day of school.  They are going to a new preschool close to our house, and we are excited about a great year! 

 

 Grace walked in without blinking an eye!  She was ready!! Lily on the other hand, was pretty upset with me.  I felt terrible :(  I can't wait to pick them up in a little while and see how the first day went! 

 

First Grade!!

 

It's finally here!  First grade!!  We've had a great summer, but it's high time we got some routine back in our lives!  Daddy helped make special ABC pancakes last night, so breakfast was a breeze this morning just reheating precooked food. Why don't I do that more often?!

Great Wolf Lodge

Ever since their first visit last year to Great Wolf Lodge, Annalee and Grace have been dying to return! We finally made it happen last weekend and with cousins to sweeten the deal! 

Grace was terrified of all of the mascots, except the girl wolf. I guess she looked friendlier than the others?! 

The water park was a hit of course! Grace was brave enough to do a medium sized slide (thanks Aunt Kandi!!) and Jack conquered his fear of the Tornado ride! Annalee's favorite was the wave pool and Lily hated all of it! Too cold! 

While Micah and Jack had guy time at the arcade, the girls snuggled in for a movie and snacks. 

It was such a fun mini vacation! Thanks for taking pics Kandi!! 

Lily's First Birthday

 

 

Lily had quite the celebration for her first birthday!  We originally planned to just cook out and hang out with each other, but I started thinking that the big kids might get bored, so we ended up renting a giant inflatable water slide.  It was taller than our house and packed enough fun for the girls to swim in it for 7 hours straight!  Money well spent!
