November 2011

Like a lot of time lately November went by in a blur. Thanksgiving dinner was spent with the Cotner's. Our yummy dinner was at Jen and Drew's home. After dinner, there was a round of good old fashioned HORSE.

Halloween 2011

Colton had so much fun this Halloween! He was a pirate and he loved every minute of being able to carry around his sword! He even wanted to sleep with it. On Friday night our ward had the Trunk-r-Treat at the church. There was a great turn out of people and lots and lots of yummy soups. Colton had everyone quite entertained during the whole thing and when Evan woke up we showed off his Santa outfit (he out grew his original Halloween costume of a tiger). Saturday night we carved pumpkins, I asked Will to take some pictures but he forgot. Oh well. Then Sunday night we had the Halloween party at my Moms. We had pizza, played games while the younger kids played outside and watched Scared Shrekless and Monster vs. Aliens. It was a very fun night! Monday night was trick-r- treating! I think Colton had the most fun this night. He got the hang of it very quickly and everyone thought he was just so cute! He did run into a few peoples houses that I didn't know and we would have to chase after him. He got tons of candy because everyone thought he was so cute! There were more than a few people that were so glad we brought Colton by for trick-r-treating. It is so fun to be a parent and watch your kids get so excited about everything!

Pumpkin Point Farms

This year we decided to go to a pumpkin patch to let Colton run around and pick out his own pumpkin. I found this place called Pumpkin Point Farms online. They had tractors for the kids to climb on, a tractor ride, a child's corn maze and lots and lots of pumpkins. They have wheelbarrows to use while picking out your pumpkins. Colton had fun riding in it.

Colton's 3rd Birthday!

ImageColton Leon Cotner

I can't believe that our little boy is 3!!! This year I decided to make him a dinosaur cake. I think it turned out pretty good and he loved it! We invited some cousins and friends over for cake and ice cream and I think Colton had them all well entertained. He is such a happy little guy and I love that about him! When you are around him you can't help but smile from what he does or says that just makes you laugh! I also think he has enough energy to power a small city and it can be exhausting but I really wouldn't like him any other way! We are so proud of him and he is very proud of himself for his accomplishments too no matter how small he'll say very excitedly "I did it!"

ImageColton is so funny with wrapping paper, you would think he would just rip into it but he doesn't so I was helping him with it.

Evan's 8 week check up

Time is flying and I go back to work next week but I can say that I have loved being able to stay home with these two wonderful boys of mine! Evan had his check up on Monday the 17th. He sure is a big boy! He weighed in at 15 lbs 3 oz and that put him in the 99 percentile for weight. He is tall too luckily at 24.5 in and the 93 percentile. His head is 15.7 in and only the 48 percentile but it does not look that small compared to the rest of him.

Evan's Baby Blessing

We blessed Evan on Sunday October 9th in our new ward the Bennion 6th Ward. We were so grateful for the family that could make it and missed those that couldn't. We were especially happy to see my Grandma and Grandpa make the trip from California to be with us! We had lunch after the blessing at our house and were able to enjoy this new member of our family and each other. Thanks to everyone for your help with the lunch!
