My Birthday

Image
We had ordered Lydia a mini crib like we borrowed when Hannah was little. It was supposed to come on the 23rd, but it came a little later on my birthday! Happy day! Lydia is getting to be way too big for her bassinet. She sleeps in our closet, and this crib fits in there perfectly.

Houston helped me make some yummy pasta for lunch. Lydia loved the broccoli and made a royal mess.

After I picked Heath up from school my mom came over with Dallin. She took me to go get pampered with pedicures. Dallin stayed and watche my kids for me.:)
it it was really fun to have some uninterrupted time to chat with my Mom and get a great leg foot massage and some pretty pink toes!

When we got back Matt had just gotten home. He got the kids ready and we all went out for dinner at a place called OHanna. It's like Fuji but a little different. We really liked it. The food was delicious an the staff super kind and helpful. We had a wonderful time. :)

After dinner we went home to enjoy some delicious ice cream cake with Grandma Grandpa and Dallin and played glow in the dark ring toss. The boys especially love that! It was a great day spent with the people I love most!

School Days

Heath started school. He has been so excited the last few weeks leading up to the first day but also a little nervous. His biggest reservation was that he might not know all of the rules. We assured him that the teacher would teach him all the rules he needed to know and that everything would be fine. By the time the first day rolled around he was so excited he could hardly sleep.

Since school has started Houston has been the Lone Ranger. It's pretty sad to see him without his sidekick Heath all the time. He and Hannah play really well though so she helps distract him most days. I think the roughest time for him is naptime when both the girls are asleep and he just has me to hang out with. He has been very helpful loves to vacuum and unload the dishwasher and help me organize things as we're still unpacking.

These days

Image
I love days like this.  Days when the kids play so well together. When they imagine and make up all kinds of scenarios. When they are working together to save the world.  Days when Matt comes home and says he had an extra big lunch and doesn't really need anything for dinner, he'll snack later. Days when we eat peanut butter and homemade jam (thanks Kaitlin) sandwiches and milk for dinner outside in the dirt.

I love having a backyard for them to play and explore and get messy in. Let me tell you, our bathtub is well used. Especially since they've found the garden bed that we didn't get anything planted in this year.  I love it when they play like this.  The mess is well worth it in my mind.

Pioneer Day

Today was Pioneer Day Sunday. We had a wonderful time at church. We were fed well by the spirit. Hannah has been potty training and doing really well. If she stays dry she gets to use a binkie. If she wets she gives it to us until she uses the toilet again. It has been working so much better for her than candy. After church my parents and Dallin came over for lunch, Sunday beans and bread. It was yummy and fun. Then we went out to check on Grandma and Grandpa Ha's garden for them. With it being Pioneer Day ,I took several binders of stories from our ancestors to read during our 2 hour drive. The kids all loved it, and so did Matt and I. They especially loved hearing about Grandpa Lorenzo Hatchs mission. Grandpa Neil Forsyths WW1 experience with the bullet and being protected by following a prompting from the spirit, and Grandma Amanda Wheeler's account of her childhood. I think I'd like to make a children's book for our kids someday of their wonderful ancestors. We stopped at Aunt Mary's house for a bit and had a nice visit with them. The kids were so happy to be together. Boone kept telling us pointing to Hannah, "He is a princess and he is going to get me!" After that we went to Grandma and Grandpa Fo's house and had hamburgers with them. They were sure yummy! It was a great hot humid day.

Best Sisters

I love how much these two love each other. Even though Hannah attacks Lydia with kisses and love Lydia still just loves it.

Lydia 4 months

Image
Lydia loves her toes. She started rolling over from her back to front the day before her 4 month birthday.
Image
She weighs 17 pounds 8 ounces.
Image
Hannah and her are best buddies.  Lydia loves it when Hannah is near and lights up when Hannah starts to talk to her.  Hannah loves to call her "SweeTHeart."
Image
"Hi SweetHeart!"  (Yes, Hannah is in the middle of potty training and holding toilet paper)
Image
Lydia is the happiest little baby. She really hardly ever cries.
Image

Image
She usually takes 3 naps during the day. She goes to bed at about 8pm (which gives us one hour alone with her to snuggle before she goes to bed. I love that.)
Image
She usually gets up once around 4 or 5 am to eat, then goes right back to sleep and sleeps until about 9am.  (which gives me time in the morning to start the day with the big kids, I love that.)

Image
She is so tender hearted. She startles very easily.  She also hates it when Hannah screams or one of the boys yells.  She is pretty sensitive.
Image
She is so sweet and squishy and bald. We love her so much!
