The End of an Era

I cannot believe it.  My baby makin' days are over.  Kaput. Put a fork in it.  You get the picture.

After 4 kids in 36 months...

IVF Twins (2010)
Surprise Blessing Singleton (2011)
Surprise Blessing Singleton (2013)

I had my tubes tied.

and

My hubby just had the big V.

I may have cried a little when he/we/he/we made that decision. I mean seriously...what are the chances of an "infertile girl" with tied tubes getting pregnant?  Well...I would place bets that number would be zero once your husband gets a vasectomy.

So...alas...time to move forward.

Time to get the hell out of baby/toddler/pre-schooler stage.

It is hard though - to think how far we have come and not want to hang out just for a bit. Just linger a bit longer...

I got a message from a friend today that she let go of her frozen embryos.  I wish I could have reached right through the phone and given her a big hug. (You know one of those "infertile girl that wishes she could birth 1000 babies" type of hugs.)

But alas...time marches on...and we must too.

"Honey, time marches on and eventually you realize it is marchin' across your face."

So time to wipe away the tears, pour another cup of coffee, and get up the energy to deal with the fighting love and pushing hugs and  name-calling terms of endearment that comes with 4 in 36 months.
