What? No.

That's the typical response when people find out that we have another (surprise) baby on the way. At least that's what my mom said...me too for that matter.

So how does a infertile girl get pregnant?
Beats me. But here's the low down anyway.

We (scratch that). NICK started to suspect something while we were in South Carolina to attend his grandmother's funeral. I, on the other hand, had packed 10,000 tampons (b/c you know when you are traveling you can't find the same exact crap at the T.arget in Florence as in Atlanta).

First clue...Nick makes a Chick-fil-a run early Friday morning b/c (his words) the hotel breakfast is gross. I request two key items. Bacon/egg biscuit and chocolate milk.

Second clue...I am gagging in the church parking lot. Gag gag gag gag gag. Blech.

Third clue...period (which will be here any minute) still not here.

Fourth clue...Chick-fil-a run again on Saturday morning. More bacon/egg and chocolate milk.

We joked on the way home about where we would put all of the carseats...ha ha ha...so funny.

Saturday night at home...Nick comes in from Tar-jay...throws a HPT box at me. I yell at him for wasting money. He says we have to complete open enrollment this week and need to know for sure before we change to the high-deductible plan...just go take it. I fuss some more saying they are supposed to be taken in the morning with first morning urine...blah blah blah...just go take it.

Take test...think it is defective because pink line is crazy pink...teetering red...hmmm....must be the control line. Get out directions...compare line...wait lines (plural).

What? No.

Turns out my line was darker than the control line.

Yell at Nick from the bathroom. He thinks I am joking. Haha.

No. Seriously.

Hugs and kisses...and a few freak out tears from me.

********************************************
Fast-forward...

First appt at OB...tears before I even hit the exam room. Still overwhelmed but happy. See the fabulous nurse practicioner. Absolutely love her.

Second appt at OB...u/s confirms 1 (whew) baby with a strong heartbeat. See witch-of-doctor who delivered P and C who basically said "I told you so" followed by "while I'm in there this time you might want to consider letting me tie your tubes". That's it. Changing doctors.

Nuchal translucency scan...everything looks great...guessing boy...no guessing girl...oh we'll just have to wait and see.

Third appt with new OB...who I saw a few times before with P and C...she says it was meant to be. I really like her...so happy I changed doctors...she is so wonderful...then bam she says "see what happens when you just let go of the stress."

(Infertile girl translation..."See what happens when you just relax?" Do you seriously have the letters MD after your name? Nevertheless...I like you. Sometimes people (only the ones I like) just don't really know what to say so they say dumb stuff. )

Other people (the ones that are annoying) have said dumb things like "look what happens when you just relax" and "medicine can only get you so far."

Really?
Medicine got me really far with P and C.
Idiots.

I smiled when a guy at my work said "Really eh? (former Canadian). I am guessing that that just couldn't have happened without you going through the IVF process before."

Thank You!
I couldn't agree more. I don't know if there is any science behind it, but I am going to believe yes.

Other questions/comments we have gotten...

How do you even have time to do that?
or
Ooo...you guys must have a good love life.
These make me giggle...no we just had really really really good timing...or were just really really relaxed.

Are you going to find out boy/girl?
Yes...because to us it is a surprise no matter when you find out...rather be prepared.

Names picked out?
We have a few in the running...P and C were no-brainers...this one is going to require a little thought.

Any complications so far?
Not really...I was on progesterone early b/c it was on the low end...which we only knew b/c I pushed to have a repeat beta and a progesterone draw (which I only knew to do b/c of the infertility). My beta number did not double, but I will attribute that to being a little further along than I thought...and it was crazy high already. The progesterone has since stopped. (I have an entire extra unopened box of Cr.inone if there are any takers!) I am also taking an iron supplement (anemic already just like last time.) Morning sickness hasn't been great...but definitely not as bad as it was with the twins.

Will you have another C-section?
Probably. My doctor says it is the conservative way to go. She said if I have strong feelings about a vaginal delivery we can talk about a VBAC. But...my feelings are not anywhere close to "strong" more like "luke warm."

I am sure there is more to tell...more than you want to know...but I am too tired...I must save my blogging energy for a general P and C update...shamefully haven't done that in sometime.

Night!

How exciting to celebrate Christmas with Caroline and Parker this year!

We are truly grateful and humbled by the graciousness of our Lord who gave us two of the most precious gifts.

1, 2...3?

Yes. 3.
Baby #3 is scheduled to arrive by June 30th, 2011.

Wait.
Didn't you just have twins?
Yes. (Well 8 months ago.)
Didn't you have to do IVF?
Yes.
See what happens when you just R-E-L-A-X?
Death stare.

I still cannot believe it either. I actually went to the doctor this morning and heard the heartbeat again...and still can't believe it. We are still a little surprised...but thrilled.

Absolutely thrilled.

Oh Christmas Cards Oh Christmas Cards...

I had planned on sending Christmas cards. Really...I had. I had the cutest outfits made for the babies (which although adorned with a Santa Claus they may have to wear year round...that cute I tell ya.)

But...then we got hit with colds...which became ear infections...4 ears...4 infections. There was coughing...which led to vomiting in the Spit-Up King. The cold was passed to me (but apparently because of an overbooked doctor...I had to just tough it out), Nick, and to Tootie. Colds are no fun...at all.

But...in the meantime I was reading all of your blogs and kept hearing about the Shutterfly promotion for 50 free cards. So...being the sucker I am for a great deal...we are back on the Christmas Card wagon...almost cold/ear infection-free...gotta love that Amoxicillan!

So...I have used Shutterfly in the past for cards and print orders. I have also given Shutterfly gift certificates as baby shower gifts for friends. I have no doubt that Shutterfly will do a fantastic job on my first Christmas card order with BABIES! :)

They have so many cool options and designs for "Christmas cards". (Click the link to see!)
Depending on how our "photo session" with Aunt KaKa goes...will depend on the card we choose. If we have 1 really great shot we will probably go with something like this for our "holiday card". (Again...follow the link.)
If we have a bunch of really good shots we might go with a multiple photo "Christmas Card".

Oooo....it just gets me in the Christmas spirit! We have already been receiving a few cards in the mail (isn't that the best?) and of course the cutest ones were printed by...Shutterfly!

I hate to jump too far ahead, but I must admit I was looking in the "Birthday Invitation" section too. (Hey April is right around the corner!)

There are so many cute options...I will have to find one that fits a boy/girl birthday theme...but there are so many to choose from! So far this "Birthday Invitation" is my favorite!

I will post pics soon of our pictures (as soon as we take them) and our final choice of card (as soon as we decide)!

Thanks to Shutterfly!

October Before December

I am a bad blogger. I have had the best of intentions to blog away this past week while on Thanksgiving Break, but alas the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

So...before November becomes December...I thought I would share some pics from October.

We rode pumpkins...

and ate pumpkins...

and might have just been the cutest pumpkins in the patch...

Sticks and Stones

So I had this long post halfway finished in response to some of the comments about my last post...life happened...and it is still not finished.

Nick's grandmother passed away last week and after traveling to South Carolina to attend the funeral and be with family I realized (among other things) that sometimes ruffling feathers just isn't worth it.

With my last post, I (regretfully) hurt feelings of some people I consider to be friends. For that, I am sorry. I would never want to cause another to feel pain or sadness or frustration. Lord knows I don't like how it feels...for it is not only sticks and stones that hurt...words can sometimes hurt the most.

Shut-E

Ok...have to vent. Started to do this on FB and then you know...I don't want to be one of those people. So buyer beware...I am about to vent. (Most of this is in response to the FB crap I read.)

1. I realize being a mom is hard work. Duh. Thank you Captain Obvious.
2. I realize being a stay at home mom is not as glorious as I make it out to be in my mind. But STFU because you get to be a stay at home mom.
3. Do NOT complain about being pregnant. Seriously? 2 months ago you almost had a freaking meltdown because you thought you were pregnant but instead got your period so you decided to drown your sorrows in a bottle of wine. You will NOT get any sympathy from me if you complain about being pregnant.
4. Don't complain about your pants not fitting b/c you are pregnant. Hello...go buy some maternity clothes.
5. If you have to constantly post about how much you love your husband/how awesome your husband is/how much you miss your husband/etc...some people might interpret it to mean that you and your awesome husband are having issues.
6. Do NOT use inappropriate language in your status. If I want to read that mess I would look on the back of a bathroom stall.
7. No...I don't want to buy any Mary Kay.
8. Correct grammar goes a LONG way.
9. I don't need the play by play of every.single.thing.you.do...every.single.day.
10. It is FACE book...not VAGUE book. Please don't expect me to ask why you are upset, what is wrong, why you are mad, etc.
11. I am not friends with you on FB so that you can push your political agenda. I am an informed voter and trust me...I do not get my info from your FB status.

I'm sure this list could go on forever. Don't get me wrong. I love FB. I just don't love it all the time. I'm sure I annoy people too...but hey...this is my blog so deal with it.

(Eventually I will get around to updating this blog with really cute baby stuff. Eventually.)

Walk of Hope

The last Saturday of September I particpated (along with my sister and the babies...and friends and their babies) in Resolve's Walk of Hope. It is amazing to me just how many people in my personal address book have been touched in one way or another by infertility.

Pictured below are...
5 IVF babies (maybe 6...not sure about Jen's little one...Jen?)
(2 from me, 1 from Murgdan, 1 and 1 on the way from Susan)
1 ovulation induction baby
1 friend going through treatment

Image

We have a whole range of issues...PCOS, tubal factor, male factor, etc. It was nice to be able to spend time with those who get it. (My sister gets it too...and I hope she never has to experience infertility).

It was somewhat hot...as September in Atlanta always is...and hot weather makes babies tired. Tired babies need naps...and one baby (Miss Caroline) loves to nap on her tummy. So nap on her tummy she did. Yep...on top of the picnic table.

Image

Image
Overall...I think it went very well for the first time ever having the walk. I plan to do it again next year...and the next and the next...I hope all of my friends will too!

5 Month-ish Pictures

Since I was off this week for Fall Break (love it)...we headed out to see Ms. Linda at Clear Creek Images. It was time for session #2 (which we were hoping would be "sitting up" pics, but we just aren't there yet).

Hope you enjoy these as much as I do!

Beetlejuice

Yep...that's right. Our babies have apparently been drinking Beetlejuice.

We have 5 empty containers of recalled Similac formula sitting in our recycle bin...not to mention the countless empty containers already at the county recycle center.

I really liked that formula...seemed to work best for my babies...here's hoping S.imilac sends me some coupons or full reimbursement would be nice!

Parker and Caroline had pictures taken today...5 month-ish pictures...I cannot wait to see them. Here is Caroline last night in preparation for her close-up today.

I have lots to write about...maybe I can accomplish that tomorrow...last day of Fall Break!

Coincidence? I think not.

Guess what came in today? Our stroller!

We decided to go with the Bumbleride Indie Twin. I am (almost) embarrassed that what we paid for this stroller is just about the same as the GDP per capita of some poor 3rd world country...but alas...yay for American gluttony. We went with this one because it reclines all the way, has large sun canopies, has a somewhat accessible storage basket, and (ultimately) I liked the trendy and fantastically cute color...seagrass.

Nick picked it up on his way home from work and began set up while we cooked dinner.

The babies watched Daddy work from their highchairs...

Finished product. We even had time to take it out for a quick walk. I love this stroller.

Image
Ok....now for the coincidence part.
This also came in the mail today.

Time to get with it.
Babies turn 5 months old Sunday...can't say "I just had twins" anymore.
Darn it. It was fun while it lasted.

4 Months and Counting

I know I say this everytime I do an "update" post...but man...time sure does fly!

Is it crazy that I am already thinking of what I want to do for their 1st birthday? I mean...it will be here in no time!

I started this post right close to the 12th...just now getting around to finishing. I am surprised at how much can change in just a few days. (Changes in blue.)

The biggest (read hardest) thing that has happened in the past month has been going back to work. Hard for the babies? No. Hard for me? Yes. They are thriving. They get to spend 3 days a week with my mom...Tootie (at least for now), spend 1 day with Daddy, and spend another day with a college-age family friend (college-age friend sent a text saying she can't do it anymore...so we will be looking for someone else...bummer). The babies are loved dearly by all parties involved and the best part is that we don't have to load up the car and make a trip anywhere in the morning.

So anyway...here is the update.

Caroline~
H: 23 inches (12%)
W: 12 pounds 5 ounces (40%)
HC: 41 cm (50%)

Wearing 0-3m clothes and a few 3-6m.
Rolling over like crazy. Front to back, back to front. Either way. She's got it.
Great neck and back strength.
Likes to sleep on her tummy...we had to give up rolling her back over...if not we would be doing it every 5 seconds.
Still loves to suck her fingers. Partial to any combo which includes the middle finger.
Is a very happy/smiley baby.
Loves to dance with Daddy.
Has figured out how to splash in the tub. Water water everywhere. On purpose.

ImageImage
Parker~
H: 24 inches (25%)
W: 12 pounds 10 ounces (12%)
HC: 42 1/4 cm (55%)

Wearing 0-3m and 3-6m clothes. 0-3m PJs are outta here...too short.
Has rolled over maybe 1-2 times...but is super close to getting it. Beginning to find him on his side in his crib. (Has the rolling over figured out...finally!)
Very talkative and has even laughed a few times. Poppie knows the trick.
Loves his momma.
Is the "Spit-Up King". In fact he spit up 3 times while at the 4 month check-up which led to...
Trying a new formula (Nutramigen) for the spit-up in addition to the Prevacid. If we don't see an improvement, Dr. B would like for us to add Reglan to empty his stomach faster. Hopefully the formula will work. (We tried the new formula...things were even worse. Back the to the Similac RS...still having issues...but I really don't want to add the Reglan. We may try the Nutramigen one more time...but add rice cereal to the bottle...which I also didn't want to do...but desperate times...desperate measures right?)

ImageImage
Both of the twins~
Love going for walks in the Bjorns. (Looking forward to cooler temps and no mosquitoes!)
Love bathtime (once they are in the tub).
Are sleeping like champs (knock on wood somewhere please). They are usually down between 9-10pm and sleep until somewhere around 8am...give or take.
Like Sesame Street...particularly the monsters.

Nothing Short of a Miracle

...well two little miracles actually.

One year ago today, two beautiful little embryos were transferred into my womb. Prayers were said, hugs were given, words of hope and encouragement were exchanged. Read about it here.

Image
(And I distinctly remember telling Nick to drive slowly over the speed bumps on our way home.)

What a difference a year makes...and we are all the more blessed for it.

God has given us two perfect little beings in Parker and Caroline.

plans to prosper us and not harm us,

Addicted to (Internet) Baby Clothes (Browsing)

Ok...I admit. I have a slight problem.

I am slightly addicted to browsing the internet and looking at baby clothes. I guess better to be addicted to browsing than buying...right?

I really have no choice as the full paychecks haven't kicked back in yet...gotta wait until the end of the month for that to happen.

(Man work is for the birds...but so is living without electricity...so I guess I will continue to be slave to the man...well more like slave to the 35 teenagers in my classroom each period...ok...that's a whole other post...one day.)

And let's face it...these babies have plenty of clothes. We don't go anywhere fancy and man they just look so darn cute in a onesie and a pair of shorts. Eeeek...I love them SO much!

But...after I have read every status on Facebook and Facebook stalked those distant friends...I start looking for baby clothes, baby gear, baby deals.

Right now I am in love with anything that is...
1. smocked.
2. handmade.
3. personalized.
4. holiday themed. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas. Doesn't matter.
5. a jon-jon.
6. polka-dotted.
7. out of the ordinary.
8. a "good"deal.
9. a coordinating "brother-sister" set.
10. something that "Oh I could make that" but let's be honest probably never will.

So I wanna know...

What are your favorite internet baby places to visit?
(Etsy stores, daily deal sites, off the beaten path stores, etc.)

Come on...give me the scoop and I will compile a list a share with everyone!

***4 Month Post Coming...soon. Promise.***

Ugh...Back to Work Tomorrow

I really should be in bed.
First day back to work tomorrow.

D-R-E-A-D-I-N-G it.
Big time.

I knew this day would come, but it seems like it came so fast. It is kind of a mean game...babies are super hard work during the first few months...and now that we have figured each other out and they are smiling and interacting...BAM...sorry sucker...now you get to spend your day with other people's kids. (Who sometimes aren't very nice.)

But...alas...I still have 3 more chances to hit the mega-millions jackpot before the first day of school...I can survive pre-planning.

It's times like this I wish I had a work from home job...gotta work on finding one of those.

Too Stinkin' Cute!

Man I love these kids...can't believe one year ago I had just started my Lupron injections.

How incredibly blessed am I?

Double Stroller Time

Ok mommas...new question.

I am currently using the Snap-n-Go...and I really like it, but it isn't very exercise friendly. We are in the market for a more manuverable stroller...so that when it cools down in Atlanta from 95 degrees to maybe 90 degrees we can actually go for a walk. (And duh...of course I need a new stroller to start exercising!)

I have heard good things about the BOB Revolution, but when we went to check it out the Bumbleride Indie Twin really caught our eye.

Any experience with these...or others?

Nope...Not Identical

I have to say...I am amazed at people's lack of knowledge of how genetics and anatomy works. I cannot tell you how many times I have had a conversation that goes something like this...

Them: "Twins?"

Me: "Yes."

Them: "One of each?"

Me: "Yes...one boy and one girl." (I mean did the pink and blue carseats not give it away?)

Them: "Oh...are they identical?"

Me: (sigh) "No...not identical."

I mean seriously people. I could understand asking that question if they were same sex twins. But boy and girl? There is one glaringly obvious difference...it's just hidden by the diaper.

Have you never seen K.indergarten Cop?

3 Months Already?

I cannot believe that the babies are 3 months old today! It is strange how time can seem to go both so fast and so slow at times...I think now that work is right around the corner it really is going fast. Uh...I dread it...big time.

Anyway...no doctor appt this month (so no stats), but Parker and Caroline have made some great strides in the past month. The big one is that (knock on wood somewhere please) they are "sleeping through the night"! We (and by "we" I mean babies and parents) have been getting at least 6 solid hours of sleep at night. The babies get more most of the time...usually around 8 hours. It makes such a difference!

Caroline~
  • Rolled over (officially as witnessed by Mommy and Daddy) from back to tummy yesterday. She has done it before, but was never able to get her arm out from underneath.
  • Loves to turn to her side to sleep. We always put her down on her back but we often find her on her side...sucking the tasty ol' thumb.
  • Prefers sucking one (or more) of her digits than her paci. Her favorite combo is the middle and ring finger together.
  • Smiles (almost) all of the time...especially at her daddy.
  • Loves bath time.
  • Still doesn't have much hair in the front...maybe one day.
  • Has just about outgrown all NB clothes...most all of her clothes are 0-3.

Parker~

  • Is completely content to be held...all of the time...especially by momma.
  • Could care less about rolling over...but has a pretty good "spin" move. We have often found him in his crib turned a completely different direction than how we laid him down.
  • Is still the "Spit-Up King"...which has led to Nick sleep-talking asking me "Where are all of the bibs?"
  • Smiles and talks to us...very close to laughing.
  • Likes to imitate you when you stick out your tongue...and has "accidentally on purpose" razzed at me a few times.
  • Loves bath time.
  • Is growing more and more hair...so cute!
  • Wearing 0-3/3-6 month clothes...getting so big!

Here are a few recent pics of them. A friend of a friend is trying to get into the baby photography business and Parker and Caroline are her models! It is next to impossible to get them to both smile/cooperate in every shot. But we still got some cute ones!

Happy 3 Month Birthday Babies!

Punctuation Marks

So...you would think with two beautiful healthy babies that a {period} wouldn't bother me so much. But it does. Not like it used to, but it is still a monthly slap in the face that says "Ha Ha, you can't make a baby."

You would also think that an {exclamation point} wouldn't bother me either. But it does. Not like it used to, but whenever I read a "We're Pregnant!" announcement on F.acebook it still hurts. How wonderful it must be to just "Be Pregnant!" and not have to go through years of IF, miscarriages, and ultimately fork over a small fortune for a chance at being pregnant. I realize that I don't know every single person's back story and they may have struggled too. I also realize that everyone has their own cross to bear and not everyone's is infertility. But I often {question} why it is mine.

I am ready for punctuation to not leave a mark.

But...here are two precious little things that make it all okay.

(First time posting a video...can't seem to get a quality image on Blogger.)

Announcement...Finally!

Whew...they are almost 3 months old and I have (finally) gotten around to getting the majority of announcements in the mail...another mass mailing tomorrow!

I am so pleased with the way they turned out...thanks to Linda at Clear Creek Images!

I was so torn as to which verse to use...James 1:17 or Jeremiah 29:11...but I truly feel as though Caroline and Parker are our gifts from God...so James 1:17 won out. However, Jeremiah 29:11 sure did see me through the tough times during our struggles with infertility.

But...here it is...for all my blogger friends to see...especially you Kristi! ;)

Questions for My Blogger Mommas (Update)

Thanks to all of you who took the time to answer my questions. I got some good info from you guys! I have always thought that I would be a super-strict-schedule-momma...many people did...but for whatever reason I have been more "go with the flow". Don't get me wrong...we have a "general" schedule...Nick gets up with Caroline at 5-5:30am...I get up with Parker around 6am...they eat...usually go back to sleep until 8-9am...eat...play...nap again...etc. Pretty consistent...just in more general time frames...nothing on the dot.

Inquiring minds want to know...

1. How do you know when to move to the next size nipple for the bottle?
(We are still using Level 1 Dr. Brown's.)
Based on what you guys said, I think we are still at Level 1...but then today Parker seemed like he was showing those "signs" of being ready for a faster flow nipple...so tomorrow I will sterilize the Level 2's and see how it goes.

2. How do you know when to up the ounces per feeding?
(We are doing about 4 ounces per feeding...unless it's a 2 ouncer for a snack...mainly because of Parker's acid reflux. The doctor said to not go over this amount...but when is it time to up it?)
I have been stopping at 4 ounces and this still seems to be working for us. If we go over this amount we seem to have more spit-up issues. They eat (depending on the time of day) every 2, 3, or 4 hours and of course longer at night...they have been doing around 6 hours at night. I would say on average they eat about 30 ounces in a day...mainly 4 ounces at a time...sometimes less.

3. How many naps per day are you guys doing?
We nap A LOT in this house. (I try to sneak them in too!) It is hard for the babies to stay awake after a bottle many times...but we are seeing longer stretches of "wake" time...especially in the afternoon. Wake time hangs out around 1.5 hours...but the long ones are around 2 hours. I would like to get them to take naps in their cribs...and we have 2 times attempted CIO/soothe...I just don't think they are quite ready for it...maybe when they are 4 months old? (I know...it's like saying "I'll start my diet Monday..." and Monday never comes.) They really love to sleep in their bouncy seats for nap time...at bedtime the cribs are no big deal and they (usually) go down without too much of a fuss.

4. What bedtime seems to work best for you...and more importantly your babies? (Yes...I'm hilarious I know. Trying to get a schedule going before I head back to work...yuck...in 1 month.)
The bedtime that seems to (for now) work for us is somewhere around 9 unless it is bath night and then we start with bath time around 8pm and go from there. Well...at least last bottle starts at 9...feed...burp...hold upright for the reflux...and of course a little snuggling. They are in their cribs by 11pm...sometimes earlier...sometimes sleepy but awake...and sometimes "knocked out." Nick doesn't get home from work until around 6:30pm...and wouldn't really have any "baby time" if we didn't do it later. We also like to walk with the babies in the evenings (although it has really been way too hot in GA lately) and can't do it after bathtime because we/they get sch-weaty.

Thanks guys! Looking forward to hearing what you have to say...

Again...thanks for taking time to answer my questions...means so much!

The (Late) 2 Month Update

Whew...we are finally over this cold. (Fingers crossed.) So here's the (late) 2 month update..

Caroline~
Weight: 9-4 (20%)
Height: 21 in (12%)
Head: 38 cm (40%)
Still in Size 1 diapers
Wearing 0-3m clothes...no more newborns!
Loves bathtime...once we get her in the tub.
Becoming more and more of a "finger" sucker...the middle and ring fingers are her favorites!
Still has a smile that melts your heart...and smiling more and more everyday.
Getting close to rolling over...but not yet.
Very close to holding her head up for long periods of time.
Sitting (for a short time) in the Bumbo seat.
Found her way into Mommy And Daddy's bed at 4am...just last night. Let's hope this isn't a trend!
Finally fits into the Baby Bjorn...and goes for walks with Mommy and Daddy.

Parker~
Weight: 10-11 (30%)
Height: 21 1/2 in (10%...which doesn't make sense to me since Caroline was 12%...but whatev)
Head: 39 1/2 cm (45%)
Still in Size 1 diapers
Wearing (and filling out) 0-3 m clothes...and fitting into a few 3-6m!
Loves bathtime...once you get him in there!
Growing a full head of hair...it is too cute!
Still taking 2.5 mg Prevacid for the acid reflux...and things seem to be better...still spitting up, but no more scary "episodes".
Is a drooler...we go through bibs like crazy!
Smiles more and more...and sometimes "talks" to us too!
Like to play patty-cake and likes "If You're Happy and You Know It".
Could care less about rolling over...even after his "rolling over" during month 1.
Very close to holding up the head for long periods of time.
Parker's head sticks out of the Baby Bjorn...he loves going for walks in it or just hanging out in it around the house...of course...attached to Momma!
Definitely becoming more and more of a "Momma's Boy."

Here are some pics from Month 1 (which I don't think I ever posted) to compare to Month 2...

Co-Pay City

So...one day in the (hopefully) near future I will do a "2 Month" update.

Unfortunately I have been vacationing in Co-Pay City...I am back from the doctor...ear infection in the left ear and an almost ear infection in the right. I cannot hear a darn thing out of the left one...so annoying. Amoxicillan here I come.

I hope Caroline and Parker aren't like me and get an ear infection everytime they get a cold. :(

So...the adventure in co-pay city continues....I swear I am going to have to get a part-time job just to pay my $35 every time we visit the doctor!

Have Germs, Will Travel

OMG. This cold will not quit.

Parker's cold has now taken up residence in his Momma and his Daddy. I just pray that Caroline avoids it.

Nick and I have been knocked on our butts by this bug...and it breaks our hearts to know that Parker had to deal with all of this first...because it is AWFUL.

The babies had their 2 month birthday today (well yesterday b/c it is now 1:30 am and I cannot sleep b/c of snot and an earache) and Nick and I decided we would let them celebrate with a sleepover at Tootie and Poppie's. (Mainly b/c we felt like crap and could barely function...and we are trying to avoid giving this crap to Caroline and back to Parker.)

We have lots to write about for their two month post...but we will save it until after our doctor's appt on Monday. I can't believe how fast time goes...it seems like just yesterday this picture was taken!

Until then, we will just say a big THANK YOU to my mom (Tootie), my dad (Poppie), my sister Katie (Aunt Sissy/Ka-Ka...she's called both), and my sister Madison for helping take care of Parker and Caroline while we try to get some rest. (One of us is having no problem with this...and it isn't the one up blogging at 1:30 am.)

So...we have germs...and the kids traveled.

Boo for germs...yay for family who helps out when you need them.
