Snow Geese 2015

Mom and I went on a road trip to the Skagit Valley. We went to check on the tulip fields to see how much was up. We found out the Snow geese were still in the area! These birds are huge! Here's some pictures.

Great Song

It's amazing how some songs just continue to resonate through the years.
Led Zepplin's "Stairway to Heaven" is a good example.
Here's the  Link to Heart's (Ann & Nancy Wilson) wonderful cover of "Stairway to Heaven" from the Lincoln Center during the awards to honor Led Zepplin.
Wonderful - isn't it?

Pam's Work on Coleen's Woodlands & Forests Traditional RR block‏

Finally got my pictures loaded for my work on Colleen's Woodlands block.
I hope she likes it.
Enjoy!

The large grass on the right just called for a mouse and frog.
The grass leaves needed some stitches too.

Here's a detail of the creatures I added. I had fun stitching these two!

Mister frog turned out  really well. Can't wait to see what the others add.

Fools Gold 3 - Ritva's block

Well finally finished my second Fools Gold 3 block. It's one of Ritva's blocks. I have admired Ritva's work for a long time. I feel honored to work on a block for her. I hope She enjoys what I did on the block. Here's the block. Enjoy.

Fools Gold #3 Karen's block

Karen's blocks are wonderful. She said in her book that she would love a dragon. Since I had a good design in mind I indulged and did one for her. I used some gold stretch-lame that Gerry sent me for the dragon's body. Even got to use the goldwork technique of putting the lame over felt padding. This gave the little fellow a lovely 3D effect. Also found a lovely hand-blown glass bead for the center of the gold flower he is crouching on. I am very pleased with how he turned out.
