About WiSE

In 2000, USC received a gift of $20 million to the University endowment to create the Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) Program. The primary goal of the WiSE program is to contribute to equal opportunity in science and engineering in tenured and tenure-track faculty positions.

The gift supports the university’s commitment to equal opportunity in science and engineering and enables the university to celebrate the achievements of women in science and engineering, increase access to academic success for all scientists and engineers – students, postdocs, and faculty, and to support highly regarded scientists and engineers, leading to career success and retention.
