Our Programs
WiSE administers a variety of grant programs available to faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students in WiSE-eligible departments. These programs have been developed to contribute to equal opportunity in science and engineering and encourage candidates to select USC as an institution in which to study, conduct research, and develop successful careers.
In order to be eligible for WiSE awards, students in WiSE-eligible departments must be enrolled full-time and faculty must hold primary appointments in a WiSE-eligible department. These departments include the departments of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, Astronautical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Industrial and Systems Engineering in the Viterbi School of Engineering and the departments of Biological Sciences (Human and Evolutionary Biology, Marine Environmental, Molecular and Computational, and Neurobiology), Quantitative and Computational Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Mathematics, and Physics & Astronomy in the USC Dana And David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences.
