Last Monday when I was on my way to work, I got a call from my boss. He said, " You're going to the year 2075 today!" Before I got to the office, the traffic was moving as slow as a sloth (simile). Time just seemed to stand still in the traffic (personification). Since the traffic was moving very slowly, it gave me time to think about what 2075 would look like. I have been waiting for ages to go to the Future, and the day was finally here (hyperbole). When I got in the office, I had to get dressed in future clothes. Before I got to the locker room to change, I saw a gaggle of giggling girls (Alliteration). One of the giggling girls said to me, "Who are you? We've never seen you before." I said to them, "This is my first day being a time traveler that is going to the Future instead of the past." I was so nervous that my stomach was a roller coaster in motion (Metaphor). I went into the room where they transferred me to the Future. Right before I went my boss told me, "Don't beat around the bush-get right to work!" (idiom). Going to the Future actually wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I got transferred to the same office that I was just at, only it was in the future. I went down to the room where they assign people their missions, and they handed me the file. I was so nervous to open it that I didn't open it for 3 minutes. I just stared at the front of the file because I was scared for my first mission in the future. When I finally opened the file it told me that my mission was to find out what cars people drove in the year 2075. This was pretty easy, I just walked the streets. The cars I saw were all different models of Teslas and Cyber-trucks. I took a few pictures and my mission was complete. All I had to do now was report back to my home office. My boss was very interested in what cars they drove, So I told him, "Well you will just have to read my report." He chuckled and said, "Good one."

Zopf
Addie has been working on a country report this last quarter. Since my mom and her family immigrated here from Switzerland, she chose that country. So for her presentation she wanted some authentic food-so now I'm getting my inner Swiss on and making Zopf.
My Oma would be proud! -missing her today. She was such a fun, spunky, crazy lady. She always made you feel loved, and you would never go hungry with her around. She always had bread and more goodies in hand. I pulled out this picture (looking for some for Addie's report), and it made me smile and then tear up.

Athletic training on the weekends
I love being a mom. Way more than I ever thought I would. And I am so thankful for my wonderful husband. I am also very thankful that I was able to complete my education before we started having kids. Not everyone has that opportunity. To keep up my knowledge and credentials I will often do contract work. (I'm an Athletic Trainer and Physical Therapist)
Pizza fun night
We have a long standing tradition that Saturday night is pizza movie night. Sometimes we make pizza, sometimes we buy it, and sometimes we even but and bake it ourselves. And then we lay out our "pizza blanket" in front of the TV and we watch some fun family movie, picnic style.
Well this weekend we decided to switch it up a little. The kids had just gotten their report cards for the quarter. And the local Peter Piper pizza gives pizza and tokens for good grades. Often Amber will take the kids after school one day. But Travis has never been able to join us. So we went as a family, and it became pizza fun night instead!!
Spirit week-decades day
It's spirit week at school. Which means that everyday is a theme day that the kids can dress up for. And our kids LOVE to dress up.
Today was decades day. So they could dress as any decade (50's, 60's, etc.) Addie was dying to wear the poodle skirt that we have-so it's was the 50's for her. Camden wanted to slick his hair-we couldn't quite get it to slick back (like a greaser) because it was too short for that, but we got it pretty good. And when I mentioned crimping her hair to Kennedy, so was all over an 80's look!

Colston was ready to go out of the house looking like this:
And I didn't even care….Well maybe I cared a little.
He finally succumb to peer pressure and had two matching shoes on when we left
