The earth is a gift God has given us. However, in modern society, people often overlook the great responsibility of protecting our earth. Earth has given us a place to live, without the it we would never lived. So, what is the most important thing in our live? The answer is earth. People have done over the years has ruined the beauty of the earth, resulting in a number of disaster. If we no longer take good care of our earth, disaster will be repeated occurrences.Instead of using our leisure time watching television and playing video games,we should think more about how to protect our Earth. Here, I would like to take this opportunity to make a promise to our mother earth.
Here Im going to make a pledge to the mother earth.
I pledge to minimize the use refrigerators, foam blowers, solvents, aerosol spray propellants, fire extinguishers, and chemical reagents for these contains chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) that are responsible to the climate change and depletion of our precious ozone layer.
I pledge not to buy exotic and endangered animals as these animals are intended to be in the wild not as mere decorations or as pets or playthings.
I pledge to be responsible with my garbage, dispose them properly. I also try to use segregation scheme with the trashes, separate those decomposable from those that are not.
I pledge to be kind to trees. I use the back of coupons, use pencils until it become as small as possible, and don’t play with matches. I try to get involved in tree planting in local conservation program. This could be fun as trees can give us added oxygen, shades for people and a refuge to different insects and birds.
I pledge to recycle things to conserve our resources, collect old newspapers, books, magazines, used papers, bottles and any other things that you sell in junkyards.
I pledge not to try eating exotic and endangered animals for they are not intended to be part of human’s diet.
I pledge to learn how to appreciate nature and her gifts to mankind and support any environmental campaigns that will help nurture and protect the only planet we live in.
I pledge to save energy from my heaters and air conditioners by wearing more clothes during cold weather to keep warm and less clothes during got weather. I can then reduce the amount of heat I use and still stay warm and toasty. This can save a lot of money for my family.
I pledge to bring my own containers when buying take-away food instead of using more plastic bags.
I pledge to start using rechargeable batteries, instead of searching for a solution how to destroy the used batteries.

The nature will always find ways to fight back to protect herself from destructive human activities, let us not wait for that to come.

After reading some of the celebrations in other countries, I prefers to celebrate Chinese New Year in Malaysia. The reason is I loves the dishes prepared during reunion dinner. The dishes are given interesting and meaningful names such as 'nian nian you yu'. The word for fish, "Yu," sounds like the words both for wish and abundance. As a result, on New Year's Eve it is customary to serve a fish at the end of the evening meal, symbolizing a wish for abundance in the coming year.
This is the first time i have created a blog. At first, i was a little bit suprised when we are asked to create a blog because i never written a blog before. I has wondered why other people enjoy blogging. So, i searched for the internet for reasons. Madam Flowrese had told us, we can become better at writing english. In my opinion, i think writing is much more comfortable because we can think for the right word to say and also for the opportunity to rewrite the statements. Blogging is also a great way for information sharing with others people and also for us to think, to think about putting the right words, sentences and grammars.
Here is a quote that i found from a website and i also realised that we can gain a lot of benifits from blogging. =p
The beautiful part of writing is that you don’t have to get it right the first time, unlike, say, a brain surgeon. You can always do it better, find the exact word, the apt phrase, the leaping simile.
