Deer Hunting 2011

Deer hunting down in Holden has become quite the tradition for our family. Everyone gets trailers and we park in this huge circle so the kids can play. The hunters hunt in the mornings and evenings and the rest of the time we play games and eat all sorts of yummy food. The kids play night games and ride four wheelers. We come home with 10lbs of dirt and a lot of memories.

Pumpkin Patch

One of our favorite traditions in the fall is going to the pumpkin patch and picking out out pumpkins. We then take them back to Grandma Peterson's house and carve them. This year I found another way to decorate them and it was a lot easier and a lot less messy. I thought they turned out really cute!!

Simba aka Marley

Simba is the newest member of our family. He is a white lab and full of energy. He has gotten himself into a little bit of trouble. We are starting to think he may be part dog and part beaver. He has eaten through our air conditioning wiring twice, 2 balusters on our deck, an entire shoe, a bunch of branches off of our tree and part of his dog house.

Alzheimer Walk

My Uncle Allen was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I have seen how it has affected my Aunt Janie and her family in a major way. They asked if any of the family wanted to participate in a walk to help raise awareness and earn money for the cause.  It was a simple walk but a good chance to learn more about the disease and be with other families who are dealing with this in their families as well.

Jr. Drill & Jr. Hip Hop

Tanna was able to do a Jr. Drill Camp and Koda was able to do a Jr. Hip Hop camp at Maple Mountain High School. They went for a couple of days to learn their dances and then they performed at the JV football game. Tanna performed with her age group and then Koda's group performed at the end. It was  a great week and a lot fun for both of them

1st Grade Mrs. Harvey

It seemed like summer flew by this year. We had so many fun things going on that is just passed us by. Tanna and Koda were so excited to start 1st grade this year. They will officially be going all day long. They have Mrs. Harvey and they were both excited to see old friends that were with them in Kindergarten. They were also excited to make some new friends this year as well. Cash and I honestly don't know what to do with ourselves but I'm sure the twins will have a blast.

Heber Valley Camp

The Peterson family did a family reunion up at Heber Valley Camp. We had so much fun being away in the mountains. We had four cabins with a large pavilion; we even had two deer that stayed with us in our camping area. We made tie dye shirts for the kids, played lots of games, went on hikes, canoed at the lake, played sand volleyball, did a challenge course and ate tons of yummy food.  It was a great way to end our summer and get ready for school to start.
