β¨ Key Features
π Security Enhancements
Disable Comments
Stop spam and reduce security risks by completely disabling the WordPress comment system. Perfect for business sites, portfolios, and landing pages that don’t need commenting functionality.
Disable XML-RPC
Block one of the most common attack vectors used by hackers. XML-RPC is rarely needed for modern WordPress sites and disabling it significantly improves your site’s security.
Disable REST API
Prevent unauthorized access to your site’s data through the REST API. Reduces potential security vulnerabilities and protects your content from scrapers.
Disable File Editor
Remove the built-in theme and plugin editor from the WordPress admin panel. This prevents potential code injection attacks and unauthorized modifications to your site.
Change Login Error Message
Replace specific login error messages with generic ones, making it harder for attackers to determine valid usernames on your site.
β‘ Performance Optimizations
Remove Version from Stylesheets & Scripts
Strip version numbers from CSS and JS files to improve caching and prevent fingerprinting. Helps protect your site from targeted attacks based on known vulnerabilities.
Remove WordPress Dashicons
Eliminate unnecessary icon fonts from loading on the frontend (unless you’re logged in). Reduces HTTP requests and improves page load speed for visitors.
Remove Generator Meta Tags
Clean up HTML bloat by removing WordPress version and plugin generator tags. Improves security by hiding what software versions you’re running.
Remove Visual Composer, Revolution Slider & Yoast SEO Generator Tags
Strip unnecessary meta information added by popular plugins. Keeps your HTML clean and prevents information leakage.
Remove WPML Generator Meta
Remove multilingual plugin signatures from your HTML for a cleaner, faster-loading page.
Disable Auto Linking of URLs
Prevent WordPress from automatically converting URLs in comments into clickable links. Reduces spam and unwanted links.
Remove Capital P Dangit
Disable WordPress’s automatic correction of “WordPress” to “WordPress”. Keep full control over your content.
π§ WordPress Tweaks
Disable RSS Feeds
Turn off RSS/Atom feeds if you don’t use them. Reduces unnecessary server requests and potential content scraping.
Disable Login Language Switcher
Remove the language selector from the login page for a cleaner interface and slightly faster login page loading.
Remove RSD Link, Short Link & WLW Manifest
Clean up header bloat by removing legacy meta links that modern sites don’t need. Reduces HTML size and improves page load times.
Remove Powered By HTTP Header
Strip the “X-Powered-By” header that reveals your server’s PHP version. Improves security through obscurity.
π Update Management
Control Auto-Updates
Fine-tune automatic updates for WordPress core, plugins, themes, and translations. Choose which components update automatically and which ones you want to review manually.
Disable Auto-Update Email Notifications
Stop receiving notification emails for automatic updates while keeping the updates themselves active. Reduces inbox clutter without compromising functionality.
π Content Management
Disable Posts Revisions
Stop WordPress from saving multiple versions of your posts and pages. Reduces database bloat and improves database query performance.
β οΈ Important Security Note
This plugin includes options to disable WordPress auto-updates. While this gives you more control, we strongly recommend keeping auto-updates enabled for security patches, especially for WordPress core. Only disable auto-updates if you have a robust manual update strategy in place.
