“Additional Pages” returns “Sitemap could not be read”

    There are no known issues with external links, did you check the sitemap with an XML validator?

    Thanks – have just tried several online xml validators, however unsure how to operate them with the xml file the plugin creates and they report errors when pasting the xml url.

    The url for the xml file is: https://love.nz/google-xml-sitemap.xml

    BTW great plugin – would be great to get it running correctly.

    Issue resolved – google crawler took several tries to read it, but got there! resubmitted pages in search console from the custom path and it seemed to have prompted the crawler.

    Fix the formatting and ensure valid XML

    Check server response headers and accessibility

    Resubmit the sitemap in Google Search Console after corrections

    Allow 24-48 hours for Google to reprocess it
