Hi again,
Thank you for your prompt reply. We attempted to replicate the issue, but unfortunately, we were unable to do so. It appears that the problem is quite specific to your individual WordPress setup and configuration.
In order to speed up our troubleshooting process, it would be greatly appreciated if you could provide us with a link to the page experiencing the issue. Additionally, any further information regarding your configuration would be helpful. Could you please provide answers to the following questions:
- Are you using the default Jitsi Meet domain (8×8.vc), or have you set up a custom domain?
- Are you employing BuddyMeet’s shortcode, or do you access the plugin through a BuddyPress / BuddyBoss group?
- Could you share the configuration of the plugin? This can be provided either through the shortcode or the group settings.
- Which WordPress theme have you installed?
- What browser are you using?
Thank you for your assistance

Hi,
after further investigation, it seems that after the recent change in the default – hosted by 8×8 – Jitsi server users are starting a meeting without being moderators. As a consequence, if you set up a password your will get the error you reported. In case you have set up a password you can just remove it and you will stop getting that error.
You can still use the password functionality if you have your own Jitsi server.
Thanks,
