For a few months now, external links from kokoanalytics.com have been appearing in Google Search Console (and other SEO tools as well). The number is increasing week by week, now over 5,000. What do I have to do to stop this? I haven’t found anything in the settings.

    Hi @wp3008,

Can you elaborate on what you mean exactly by “external links from kokoanalytics.com” – or perhaps share a screenshot of the issue in Google Search Console?

Do you mean pages with the “?koko-analytics-dashboard” query parameter being crawled by Google? If so, is your dashboard set to public in the Koko Analytics settings?

    Best,
    Danny

Thank you for your quick response.

My dashboard is not publicly accessible; the parameter is set to No, as I requested.

However, in the area below (Select Yes if you want your dashboard to be publicly accessible. You will then find your public dashboard here), the page is still accessible and populated.

In Google Search Console, the external links from kokoanalytics.com can be found where all other backlinks from external sites can be found.

    Hi @wp3008,

In Google Search Console, the external links from kokoanalytics.com can be found where all other backlinks from external sites can be found.

I think this is an issue on our side that we are working on fixing. Our own analytics dashboard is publicly accessible here and most likely, it was linking to your site via the “top referrers” table at some point.

We have instructed Google not to index this page nor to follow any of its link, but it has ignored this some time ago resulting in thousands of dashboard pages being crawled. We have since made the page totally inaccessible for the Google crawler so this issue should resolve itself slowly over time now.

However, in the area below (Select Yes if you want your dashboard to be publicly accessible. You will then find your public dashboard here), the page is still accessible and populated.

The dashboard is still accessible and populated because you are logged-in as a user with the required capability.

    I hope that explains.

    Best,
    Danny
