The important warning buttons/notification icons are normally red for Really Simple Security, like this:

However, on the Vulnerabilities page, the “High” button is a pale pink, so not very noticeable:

Could the style be updated to make the High buttons on the Vulnerability page red, like other important notifications? So it would look like this:

    Thank you for considering!

    Hi @jamespostsil,

Thank you for the feedback! We currently use the less intense (or pale) red tone for the High risk category, as the full red color is reserved for Critical vulnerabilities: which allows for a clear visual distinction between “High” and “Critical”.

That said, we’d be happy to consider improving the visibility of the High label as well: but as red is already dedicated to Critical, how would you propose adjusting the “High” category?

    Kind regards, Jarno

Ah, I didn’t realize there was a distinction. To me, it seems that red is also used on the Dashboard for things that are not “Critical”?

With Medium being a solid yellow, I believe the pale red isn’t as noticeable… Shat about something like a solid orange for High?

    Hey @jamespostsil,

We’re actually reviewing the UX of the plugin as we speak, so I have raised your feedback with regards to the colours of the ‘severity categories’ in this specific feature for consideration, as I can definitely understand where you’re coming from.

While I can’t say exactly how (or when) this might change yet, we’ve added the idea to use a more noticeable color (like solid orange) for the “High” severity category to the list of UX improvements that we’re exploring!

Thanks again for sharing this feedback. Let me know if you have any further questions!

    Kind regards, Jarno

    Sounds good.

It might be helpful to review how the buttons display when the screen is zoomed in. This is at 125% zoom in Windows 11.

    Not critical, but related.

    Thank you,

    James

    Hey @jamespostsil,

Thanks for that addition, definitely related!

We’ll have a look at why the severity categories are getting cut-off on certain screen widths as well.

    Kind regards, Jarno
