Sorry, my last post was under reviews on accident. I’m trying to change my pop-up login to this. We will be on my landing page to register or login to continue. So I would like them to be able to click login and it goes to the default WordPress login page. They can use my existing login with Google or Facebook. And now use your link.

Will it bring them back to the landing page?

    1. User visits: https://domain.com/some-promo-landing-page/
    2. They click a link/button like “Login”
    3. That button/link takes them to:
      https://domain.com/wp-login.php?action=magic_login&redirect_to=https://domain.com/some-promo-landing-page/
    4. They enter their email
    5. They receive the magic login email
    6. They click the magic link → it logs them in and redirects them to the redirect_to page

I went through your docs and I think that’s it?

Thank you! Nice site and plugin.

    Hi @cmccrone,

That’s right, if you pass redirect_to address like you mentioned here ...wp-login.php?action=magic_login&redirect_to=https://domain.com/some-promo-landing-page/ it’d take user back to that address. (Like standard WP login does)

Feel free to leave a review once you try the plugin, and if it works for you.

I got my entire website switched over! Thank you.

Is there anyway I can remove the username from registration? It seems like an outdated thing to have there.

I assume it’s possible. My logic is that everyone has an email but nobody really wants to create a username.

I did my best to go through the documentation using ChatGPT and I couldn’t find anything.

    Thanks again

    Hi @cmccrone,

If you’re talking about standard WP registration, I don’t think there’s a good way to remove it. It basically asks for a username and email.

If you have a question about Magic Login’s registration feature – https://handyplugins.co/docs/magic-login-registration/ feel free to reach out via the contact form.
