I just had the title attribute set but none the other. Now it works great.
Just one thing. Is it possible to display the caption just when the image is opened in PhotoSwipe but not in the portfolio overview?
Another unrelated question. Why do I get a 2 column layout by default? My understanding was, that normaly its 3 columns by default.

There is really no good way to do that at the moment. The only recommendation I could give would be to hide it with CSS.
As for the layout – you’re using the Minimalist Portfolio theme and it has set the masonry to be in 2 columns to fit with the theme style.
