Why does SSC break this redirect?

I’m testing SSC with a cloned version of my site. It seems to work great!

Just one thing. The menu at the top of my site has a link titled BLOG that links to https://jobmob.co.il/blog.

However I have an nginx rewrite rule set up to redirect https://jobmob.co.il/blog or https://jobmob.co.il/blog/ to https://jobmob.co.il/:

# redirect /blog or /blog/ to the home page
    rewrite ^/blog(|/)$ / permanent;

This worked fine until I added SSC’s Rewrite Mode rules to my nginx config.

Any idea why?
