3 minutes unattended

I stayed home from church today with a sick Ben. Kenna was eating cheerios straight from the box before church. I let her take the box into the living room (which I never do). Ben saw this and decided he needed some cereal too. His choice was Reeses Puffs. I let him take it into the living room also (which I never do). So Cal and the girls left for church and the cereal boxes stayed in the living room. Cole woke up from his nap so I left Ben unattended in the living room for a total of 3 minutes. This is what I came back to. He looked up at me with his big baby blues and simply said "Sorry Momma". (Sorry about the poor picture quality-I grabbed my iPod so I could quickly take a picture before it got ground in my carpet too much)

Twin boys

I've decided the best way to have twin boys is to have them 2.5 years apart. It's a lot less work.

BenJAMin

Who doesn't love a frozen corndog every now and then? Ben refused to let me cook it. He ate a good chunk of it before he'd let me throw it in the oven.Image

I love this little guy and his major personality. Seriously adore him! He made me a mom which is all I've ever wanted to be. He is absolutely one of my best accomplishments. He makes me laugh, he has been asking for grits everymorning for breakfast. In fact he had them for breakfast AND dinner last Friday. He's been sick so we, well I, give in to his every whim. At 7:00 Saturday morning when he was demanding pizza, I put on my slippers and bathrobe to go grab a frozen pizza from the garage freezer. Dinner that night??? Well grits of course. He is growing so fast. I look at him like a little boy instead of a toddler now which makes me so sad. He was born to be his own little man. I never knew love til I held him in my arms for the first time (all 3 lbs of him). Such a fighter. There is a strong spirit in this tiny, beautiful body. I pray I can teach him the things of life that matter. Principals of the gospel, be a hard worker, be kind, be faithful, and be loving, and how to be a great brother.Image

Cole's 1st haircut

Sweet baby Cole got his first hair cut. He had such long hair. I'm talking a good 4-5 inches. Unfortunately, it wasn't very even. This first picture is what his hair would look like even when I'd wet it and comb it. I've seen old men with toupees that looked very similar. So I decided it was time for a snip. I took some "before and after's". What do you think? He's gotten quite blonde too. Maybe he will look a little like me after all?!? :) Okay, maybe not. Cal calls him "Ben 2.0 (two-point-oh)" Apparently I only know one pattern. Image

Cole's 1st Christmas

Image Image I have a bit of a con- fession. I've lost a little of that "first-time mom" ambition. It was only after the holidays that I realized that poor baby Cole didn't get any new "Baby's 1st Christmas " items. Luckily I found this little gem at Walmart tonight. It was well worth the 75 cent clearance price. Don't ya think? By the way, check out the chubby thighs.

So grown-up

You hear everyone say how quickly their kids grow up. In fact, I think it's one of those things that I've heard so much that I didn't really pay attention to it when I heard it. But sometimes reality has a way of smacking you upside the head. I can't believe my little 3 pounder has gotten so HUGE. Not just huge but so grown up too. I'm so glad he still lets me cuddle, snuggle, and kiss him. That's going to be a dark, dark day when he is too "BIG" for his mommy.Image

2 months old

Our newest little man is getting even bigger! Yay. He weighed 11.5 lbs at his 2 month check up. This put him in the 40th percentile. He is doing so well and loves to eat. He is happy and healthy. He's also pretty darn cute! We love our little guy!

2010 Christman Picture OVERLOAD!!!

Santa came to our ward Christmas party. Obviously Ben is a HUGE fan (did you detect the sarcasm)? He gave this same deer in the headlights expression when he saw the one at the mall. Needless to say, I didn't shell out the 13 bucks to buy that lasting memory!ImageMcKenna and Cassidy had their school Christmas program. Hopefully you can find them both.

Cal's brother and his family came to McKenna's baptism. Ben and his cousin Jake had so much fun playing together.

McKenna got baptised

We had a very special day on Saturday. McKenna was baptised and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I can't believe she is so big. We are so proud of her and the decision she made. I know she will be a good example to her younger brothers and sister. I'm so grateful for a husband that honors his priesthood and lives worthily to baptise her.Image

halloween twenty-ten

Halloween lasted a couple of days this year. On Friday night, Cal took Ben and the girls to our ward's trunk-or-treat. Then on Saturday we went over to Eric and Patti's house. Cal took the kids trick-0r-treating to a couple of houses in Iona. We bought pizza for everyone and had a small birthday party for McKenna. McKenna's birthday is today, Halloween. It is also Cal's mom's birthday. So here's a "Happy Birthday" shoutout to Grandma Lynne. Today is also Baby Cole's due date. Fortunately Dr. Isbell scheduled my C-section early so we wouldn't have 3 birthdays on Halloween. Here are some pictures from Friday and Saturday night.

Image Cal lighting the candles on McKenna's cake. Notice how cute the girls' hair is. Their cousin Amanda came over and fixed it for them.

Image Cute cousins. Graycie is a butterfly, Ben is a shark, Mary is a pumpkin and Sammy was also a butterfly. It's hard for me to believe that Graycie and Ben are the "big" cousins now.
Image Cassiday was also a butterfly and McKenna was a cowgirl (with attitude???)

Coming home

Because I had to have a c-section, I had to stay at the hospital for three days. We were so excited to get to bring the baby home with us this time since last time we had to leave him in the NICU. Here's a picture of Cole when we got home. Even though Ben was nearly 3 weeks old when we brought him home, look how tiny he was.

Passing the time

Image

While spending time with Mommy in the hospital, Ben got a little bored. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Don't worry, there aren't any dirty linens in there yet :)

He's here!!!

We welcomed Cole Brigham Watson to the family on 10/20/2010. He weighed 5 lbs and 14 oz. He's beautiful, healthy, and happy. The pictures are out of order, but you get the gist :)
