All volunteer opportunities are shared below or you can find exactly the type of experience you’re looking for by selecting:

12/2: GivingTuesday at Wildwood Farm Sanctuary

On Tuesday, December 2nd, Wildwood Farm Sanctuary & Preserve is hosting a fundraiser for their rescued animals. Their goal is to raise funds that can improve their pastures to create dry, stable, and mud-free areas where their cows can graze, socialize, and rest without pain. With the help of vegan chef Nora Taylor from Nora Cooks, gifts made to Wildwood on GivingTuesday will be matched up to $5,000. Plus you’ll receive an exclusive Nora Cooks Mud Cake recipe as a thank you. Together, we can bring lasting relief to our rescued friends and make this GivingTuesday one of comfort and care!

11/28: Salmonberry Trail Nature Walk

Skip the lines, ignore the sales, and spend the morning where it actually feels good to be — out on the future Salmonberry Trail. The Salmonberry Trail Foundation is hosting a nature walk on Friday, November 28th from 10am-12pm along the Learning Mile (21 minute drive from Pacific’s Forest Grove campus). This family-friendly 1.8 mile hike will begin at the future Buxton Trailhead and winds towards Williams Creek, where you may even spot some salmon making their annual return. If you’re looking for the perfect reset after Thanksgiving, this may be the event for you!

UCEDD Summer Internship Program

The University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) has a a great internship program that may be a good fit for Pacific students, particularly those in communication sciences & disorders, disabilities studies, sociology, . This internship opportunity allows students to gain experience in the disability fields, develop transferable skills, and see what they may potentially want to do in different healthcare fields. Students will participate in a project at one of the  Institute on Development and Disability to gain experience in variety of healthcare fields doing research, clinical studies/care, and community programs.

North Plains Oregon Internship

North Plains Oregon has an internship opportunity that may be a good fit for Pacific students, particularly those in business administration, communications, marketing, graphic design, journalism. This internship is a great opportunity for students to learn and gain experience in public relations (PR), content creation, and civic engagement. Students will have the opportunity in taking impactful, educational, and fun responsibilities such as website content management, social media and digital engagement, and more. Students will get to practice knowledge they have learned from classes as well learn new strategies and leadership skills that will help them in the future.

12/5 Deadline: Multnomah County’s Community Budget Advisory Committee

Do you want to learn more about county program, services, and how the county budget process works? The Office of Community Involvement (OCI) is recruiting members to serve on Multnomah County’s Community Budget Advisory Committees (CBACs). No budgeting or financial expertise is necessary! CBACs are groups of community members that review and make recommendations on county departmental budgets and operations. Participating on in a CBAC is a great leadership and professional development opportunity!

This opportunity can help you strengthen skills, build experience, and expand your resume. Participants should expect to dedicate 2-6 hours of service a month and serve for 3 year terms. The deadline to apply is Friday, December 5th.

11/22 & 12/6: Tualatin Riverkeepers

Join Tualatin Riverkeepers as they plant native plants at Dirksen Nature Park in Tigard! Planting parties will happen on Saturday, November 22nd and Saturday, December 6th, both from 10am-1pm. This work supports wildlife habitat, water quality, soil health, and human connection throughout the park. Tualatin Riverkeepers will provide tools, safety gear, and instructions so all you have to do is show up. Snacks and coffee will be provided as well!
