The ferry that chauffeured us from Mandalay to Mingun, an 11km ride that took almost an hour.

Left corner of Mingun Pagoda, an abandoned project by King Bodawpaya who believed in the prophecy that once its completed, the city would vanish. This is only one third of his vision. We climbed barefoot to the top and scalded every inch of our skin.
After getting sunburnt all day, we’re headed off to Bagan by an overnight mini bus. The moon, pitch dark sky blanketed by white clouds accompanied us on the 7 hours bumpy ride.

Myanmar – 30 hours in Yangon

At the Central Railway Station- Shinyi’s first attempt to get us overnight tickets to Mandalay the next day.
Five operators later, we’ve finally gotten a person who’s got what we needed – 2 upper class overnight train tickets to Mandalay.
The rain drizzled all afternoon while we’re on the Circular Train that took about 3 hours to arrive back at the starting point – Central Railyway Station.

After two full days in Yangon, we spent 15 hours on this upper class coach to Mandalay. The seats are more comfortable than commercial flights’ seats. Highly recommended for intercity traveling in Myanmar despite the long hours !

Sneak Peek at Bangkok

This has got to be the most gruesome travel photoshoot ever! The scorching sun was such a huge challenge that, I don’t even know what I was capturing most of the time. Its not just the overexposed sunlight onto the objects and sceneries, and the horrible reflection on the camera display;  but also the heat that pierce into the skin so unbearable that challenges the endurance to catch a perfect snap under such condition.

Anyhow, here are some photos for a sneak peek.
