Book Character Day

Grace and Quinn's school had a "Book Character Day" where they got to dress up like a character from a book. I was not surprised that they both chose Hermoine since its all about "Harry Potter" at our house these days. When my friend dropped off the costume for Grace to borrow it came with a wand and tie. Quinn had a little melt down because she was so disappointed that the costume we borrowed for her didn't. Grace decided that she would share one of them. They went back and forth for a while eventually decided on Quinn using the wand and Grace wearing the tie and using a stick she found for a wand.

We put Grace's hair in braids the night before to try to get her heavy, stick straight hair into Hermoine like curls.

Here Grace is nailing the Hermoine eye roll, it's almost like she's had some practice!

Collin finally conquered his arch nemesis; the Rubik's Cube

The day before Mark left we went to one of our favorite places to eat "The Rock".

Quinn used a gift card that she got for her birthday to get a little turtle that swims around in a little tub of water. She is always leaving this filled tub laying around and I've either knocked or kicked it over half a dozen times.

Grace and my mom spent Sunday afternoons for about a month putting a puzzle together.

One day Tate, his gun and I went for a walk.
