30 Day (Post) Challenge Post #3

Wow 2 posts consecutively! Haha.. but since I did buy this today I figured it was perfect for this post's (day's) challenge topic.

Post (Day) #3: Something you bought today.

I finally gots me a new wallet! I've totally been on the hunt for a Hello Kitty wallet. But most that I've come across have been too red, too pink, too girly, too bulky, or just not my style. Don't get me wrong I do love Hello Kitty, but if it's something I'm gonna have to look at pretty much everyday, it can't be just any HK.

But I finally found it! It's perfect for me! A little punk rock/emo-ish yes, but hey that's more me then the girly type HK!

And I love that its made of a more linen cloth material w/ the accents being leather. All the other HK wallet's I've passed up have been way to bulky, because they were made up of the heavier canvas material, hard leather, or the vinyl material. Also this has a ton of slots for all my rewards/store stamp cards. So bonus!

The store also had a pretty sweet collection of HK jewelry & accessories, but these watches caught my eye. No I didn't buy them, but I might have to go back later. All my watches are dead, so technically I do NEED a new watch! LOL! Supa Fly right?!

The white one is boss! But me & white don't really play well together.

30 Day (Post) Challenge Post #2

So remember LAST YEAR around Dec when I said I was gonna do this 30 Day Photoblog Challenge thang?! But I changed it to a 30 POST Challenge instead?! LOL well here I am with Post (Day) #2! Haha.. told you I could never do it as a straight 3o days! But now that I'm unemployed maybe I'll be posting more frequently with this. No promises though!

Post #2: Someone you adore & 5 reasons why.

Of course for this post I have to choose Mummy!! This is an old picture from abt 12/2010. She had just finished her chemo for 1st bout of Ovarian Cancer you can tell from her hair. Also you know this is an older pic cuz she's heavier & I'm skinnier! LOL!

Of course there are much much more then 5 reasons why I adore my mother. But for posting's sake I'll list 5 of my fave reasons.

1. She has one of the kindest hearts ever! She doesn't judge people of the bat, & she believes everyone deserves a second look.
2. She's STRONG. Not physically of course, but mentally she is one of the strongest women I know. She's beat Breast Cancer, brain surgery, & her 1st bout of Ovarian Cancer. And her battle right now as well. All while having one of the most positive attitudes I've ever seen.
3. She's creative. You should see her scrapbooks. She even knows how to literally use SCRAPS to the fullest extent! LOL!
4. She supports me. The fact that she listens to me when I ask her things and tells me to just try my best at whatever I want to attempt. Even if it's kinda stupid.
5. JUST BECAUSE SHE'S MY MOM! What I can't use this as a reason?!

A big THANK YOU to all of you who have sent your well wishes, good thoughts, & amazing support for Mummy & me over these last few months. It's amazing how much love & friendship I've found through blogger & twitter. I appreciate all your kind words & concerns! LOVE YOU GUYS!!

It means a lot to both of us as she continues to battles this LONG TOUGH 2nd bout of Ovarian Cancer out.

Secret Valentine's Day Gift!

In hopes of lifting my spirits by giving & receiving, I accepted the invitation that Sheila gave me to participate in the Secret Valentine's Gift Exchange she organized.

My Secret Valentine's was Dorothy! She was so sweet in getting me not one but TWO things off my wishlist!

The KATE 1Day Tattoo Liner that I've always wanted to try (and this one included a pair of falsies!), but never truly made the effort to buy online. I blame the shipping to Hawaii on most of these situations. LOL

Milani Liquif'Eye Liner in black. One of my faves, L turned me on to this, but black is always sold out at my local drugstores! :( And I am down to using a lil stub of my old one right now, so this is awesome timing!

MBD Cooling Mask and Earl Grey Tea & Macaron Mask. So cute the packaging! She also had a very cute HK note for me & some Lindor Truffles which unfortunately melted on me, so that's why no pics of them. :( But it's my fault, she sent it so quick & I wanted to wait until the 14th to open it, but I didn't get a chance until today & it was so humid the other day.

Thank you so much Dorothy!! I love it all! Recently started following her on twitter too! Gotta love new friends made! ^_____^

UPDATES: Going Into 2012

Once again if there is anyone actually reading this... well THANK YOU for not giving up on this poor comatose blog of mine. Few updates as we usher in the new year.

1. Met up with the most gorgeous (inside AND out) Jamilla right before the New Years. She is a delight! Exactly how she is online. Smart, gorgeous, funny, generous, and such a genuinely GOOD person. Met her & her equally wonderful husband for a lunch. Unfortunately she was sick during her stay down here, so we could only have that quick lunch. :( Next time for sure though we'll have a proper outing!

Kat from Mai-Kat Oshaberi also joined us. Too funny how we've never met even online, though we only live abt 5min away from each other! We also share a love for Johnny's! She was a delight to meet & in the future I hope to have more great encounters. LOL Kay & Yumeko can vouch for how excited & obsessed I can get with the fangirling!

That was the highlight of the last month or so. On to the not so great....

2. Getting laid off. Yes AGAIN. But I hope to find another job soon. My last day of work is sometime in Feb. We haven't been given an exact date yet.

3. Mummy is sick again. Most of you already know that she is a breast cancer survivor, but back in 2010 she found out she had ovarian cancer, as well as having an accident that required some major surgery. (All stated in earlier posts) Well this past year the ovarian cancer came back, and she went on a experimental drug therapy. It was doing well in killing the cancer, but it also seemed to be killing her body in the process. So they recently lowered the dosage. But the sad thing is with the lower dosage, it wasn't as effective. They've found out that the cancer has come back aggressively. So she now has to undergo chemotherapy for 5 weeks. EVERYDAY for 5 weeks. I'm just scared that her body already weak from the clinical study, won't be able to handle it. Including her breast cancer long time ago, this will be her 3 time dealing with chemo.

That's about it for now.... Everything else is just the usual stress from my father, bills, and what not. But I try my best to muddle through.

I do wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR filled with love, happiness, joy, friendship, warmth, good health, and less stress! ^____^

SoCal 4/2011 Pt. 3

This post is about ninjashoes (TOMS) & food porn with the lovely Imee & L!

I vaguely remembered the whole TOMS movement when they first came on the scene, but I still wasn't sure exactly what they were. Until L showed up in her sparkly black ones, & then when we went Disneyland w/ Joey she showed up in hers. Then I started noticing them on EVERYONE everywhere! LOL! After listening to L & Joey tout the amazing comfortableness of them I decided I myself wanted a pair. Thus L took me to grab some. Got the basic blacks, and after wearing them around I can say I'm addicted to them now! I call them ninjashoes, and I WANT more! But the selection down here in Hawaii sucks balls. Eventually I will get more... TRUST...

We had plans for dinner with the ever lovely & down to earth home girl Imee. This would be the 2nd time meeting up with her & I was looking forward to it!

We had dinner at Rock Bottom Brewery in Long Beach. Let me tell you the food was awesome! Since I'm not much of a drinker I quenched my thirst with their homemade House Root Beer.

I loved spending time with Imee & L, and I'm glad that Imee was able to have dinner with us! It's peeps like them that make me want to come up & visit again faster.

SoCal 4/2011 Pt. 2

Part 2 of my SoCal trip 4/2011!! Once again just a brief overview w/ a handful of pics. Took a lot this day, but mostly of the fireworks.

This was a fun filled day spent w/ L & Joey!! What did we do?! Eat some good dim sum & DISNEYLAND again baby!! Told you I can't get enough! LOL! Lil Man was being watched by the gparents, so we could have a big girls day. Oh yeah they were STILL out of pickles on this day too! >_<

Before we hit up Dland we had a scrumptious dim sum lunch w/ L's parents. Once again hit up L's blog for better drool worthy pics.

Since I didn't get to go on the Toy Story ride the last time I came we made sure we hit that up first. Mr. Potato Head talks & interacts w/ the peeps standing in line. It was pretty funny. Not putting up my Toy Story score cuz the little 6yr old kid in the car next to us beat me. LOL

Now the only coaster I really like is Space Mountain. I tend to piss my pants off on all others. This was no exception. Trust me I'm surprised I even went on! My eyes were closed the entire time w/ Joey laughing at me. LOL Yes I'm that scared.

After we were done w/ Cali Adventure we headed over to Magic Kingdom. Check out these cute plushies!

Had to watch Captain EO since I haven't seen it since I was a kid. When I went back to Disney in HS & my last SoCal trip it was still closed. :( But it was open again this time around! I believe EVERYONE should see this at least once if you ever go to Disney.

FIREWORKS BABY!! Most of you know how much I love fireworks shows & how much I love to take pics of it. Just sharing a handful of the colorful ones.

*sigh* I love Dland so much & Dland w/ L & Joey is soooo much more fun!! Can't wait to get back up to Cali again to hang with my loves!

SoCal 4/2011 Pt. 1

I MISS SoCal!! Actually what I miss is my lovely #1 BITCH L & my sweets Joey. Also all the SoCal gals that I love too! Gonna do this SoCal trip in parts. Also I'm only gonna post up a few pics, cuz I took too many at some points & not enough at others. LOL.

Not posting up the 1st day dinner w/ L & Joey since L posted it up HERE & her pics are a lot nicer anywhoo! ;)

So moving on to the 2nd day which was spent at Disneyland with L & Lil' Man. Now I LOVE DISNEY so I don't mind going there every time I'm up in Cali!

2 things I HAVE TO GET when I go to Dland:

1) Turkey Leg (check) Got this straight away when we entered!

2) Pickles. Don't know why but I just love Disney pickles. BUUUUUT THEY WERE OUT!! How the hell can you be outta pickles?! You're freaking DISNEY for goodness sakes. Apparently they were out for days at both parks. Whatevers.... yeah I was hella salty over that.
