- Reviewed in Australia on 15 January 2023Format: KindleI really enjoyed this story of Vangie and Emma’s holiday. And when Vangie is around we all know what happens ….. murder. Can’t say much more or I’ll give it away.
Can’t wait for the next one.
- Reviewed in Australia on 26 January 2023Format: KindleVerified PurchaseVangie Vale’s latest adventure is a great read, particularly for lovers of novellas and shorter fiction. In this adventure we’re taken to small town Fort Stuart in Canada which comes equipped with its own Mountie, nearby National Park, quirky locals and of course a dead body.
Vangie consolidates her reputation as a super sleuth, using her technology skills and her experience in small town living to solve the murder.
I loved it and if you like to cosy up with a small-town mystery, I think you’ll love it too. Looking forward to what Vangie gets up to next.

KarenReviewed in the United States on 20 January 20235.0 out of 5 stars Novella -Great introduction to me of Vangie Vale series
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI enjoyed “Fugitive in the forest“. Vangie Vale is a unique character. She is a part-time baker, a part-time pastor and a full-time friend to Emma. I really appreciated the characterization of Vangie who is a pastor with real life struggles. The author’s description of the small Canadian town was delightful. I feel as though I have spent a weekend in Canada. A recipe was included at the end of the book. This was a great introduction for me to the Vangie Vale mysteries series. I am interested in Vangie Vale as a character and will read other books in this series.
