For more than two decades, the Oregon Cultural Trust has played a vital role in enriching our state’s cultural resources, supporting more than 1,600 nonprofits across Oregon. We have woven a unique and awe-inspiring cultural tapestry, united by artistry, defined by stories and guided by wisdom.
Much like the state itself, the Oregon Cultural Trust is so much more than it seems. It’s not just an organization, it’s a movement. A movement that inspires Oregonians to embrace and celebrate their culture through arts, heritage and humanities.
Already donated to a cultural nonprofit or plan to? When you match that gift with a donation to the Oregon Cultural Trust, you can take advantage of the Cultural Tax Credit and earn up to 100% of your match back at tax time.
In effect, you’re directing taxes you already owe to support more than 1,600 arts, heritage, and humanities nonprofits across the state. That means more funding for murals, music, festivals, libraries and beyond, powered by you.
Watch our video to see how it works.
**NOTE: Maximum tax credit amounts are $500 for individuals, $1,000 for couples filing jointly, and $2,500 for class C-corporations. If the amount you owe in taxes is less than the donations you’ve made, please be aware that you will not receive a 100% refund in the form of a tax credit.
Tax credits can be complicated, so we made a video to help make it simple. Watch our 3-step guide to learn how to score the Cultural Tax Credit.
All of Oregon’s qualified cultural nonprofits are eligible to apply for one or more of the Oregon Cultural Trust’s regional or statewide grant programs. Check out our grants page or watch a short video on how you can fund your arts, heritage and humanities programs.
