I could probably use for gaming, but that wasn't my purpose. Also, it was refurbished, so I wasn't expecting perfection. All in all, I think it was a great value. My only complaint is there were no instructions on how to set it up. This is a windows monitor and I have a Mac-mini 2. I wasn't sure if it would work. I looked for a power switch and none could be found. I had the HDMI hooked up and figured that was the power but nothing happened. I thought it had USB out but finally figured out that, that was the power. It works perfectly.
