The integration enables Aechelon to transform ICEYE’s persistent, all-weather synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data into accurate, high-fidelity 3D terrain and object visualizations. The capability will be demonstrated at I/ITSEC 2025. The collaboration fuses ICEYE’s SAR detections with Vantor’s global 3D spatial foundation, which includes 3D terrain and building footprints covering over 95% of Earth’s landmass with approximately 3-meter accuracy. Vantor continuously updates this dataset using its imaging satellite constellation. The data is delivered to SkyBeam via Vantor’s Tensorglobe™ platform. According to Aechelon CEO Nacho Sanz-Pastor, the companies have partnered for decades across major defense programs, but this is the first integration of Vantor’s software-enabled spatial intelligence with Project Orbion. The collaboration expands the ecosystem of industry partners contributing to Aechelon’s next-generation geospatial intelligence capabilities. Project Orbion functions as an AI-enabled Digital Twin of the Earth, unifying satellite imagery, photogrammetry, radar intelligence, detections, and continuous updates into a single 3D synthetic environment. Aechelon’s AI processes Vantor building footprints, extracts vegetation, models environmental features such as real-time snow accumulation, and converts ICEYE SAR detections into dynamic 3D representations. The combined system allows operators to visualize moving targets, new structures, and environmental changes with high accuracy. Beyond defense applications, the integration supports disaster response, emergency management, and autonomous system training. Built on Aechelon’s SkyBeam platform, Project Orbion represents the future of Aechelon’s global, sensor-fused geospatial ecosystem. Aechelon and Pilatus Aircraft Ltd Sign Overarching Agreement for PC-7 MKX Programs 𝟐𝟒 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 – 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨, 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟. 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐬, 𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐳𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 Aechelon Technology, Inc. (“Aechelon”), a leading provider of advanced geospatial, visual, and sensor simulation solutions, and Pilatus Aircraft Ltd (“Pilatus”) are pleased to announce the signing of an overarching agreement for the integration of Aechelon’s Image and Sensor Generators and Global Commercial Databases across Pilatus' flight simulation programs. Under this new framework, Aechelon has also been awarded contracts to deliver Image Generators and Databases using Synthetic Reality—the first projects executed within the scope of the agreement. Aechelon will supply multiple state-of-the-art Nucleus Image Generators, each capable of supporting up to eight GPUs per 4U system, along with Mixed Reality Stations, Global Commercial Databases, and full integration services. In addition, a fully featured demonstration system will be available at the Pilatus headquarters demo center in Stans, Switzerland, under the terms of the overarching agreement. By delivering a comprehensive, turnkey solution—including software, hardware, moving models, global database content, program management, and systems engineering support—Aechelon ensures maximum value and minimal risk under a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) arrangement.
