As the year comes to a close, we’d like to share one of the most impressive projects we delivered in 2025. This case is Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport, Terminal 3 - a large-scale deployment of a unified security and situational awareness environment where video surveillance (VMS), PSIM workflows, access control, intrusion detection, and AI-driven analytics operate as one integrated system. What makes this project stand out: ✔️ Scale: up to 18,000 cameras, 1,500+ access control endpoints, and around 90 servers. ✔️ Deep integrations across multiple subsystems and devices (including storage and face recognition terminals), delivered through a single operator interface with map-based operations. ✔️ AI analytics for security and investigations: face recognition, appearance-based similarity search, crowd density/flow analysis, and perimeter scenarios. ✔️ Real operational impact: significantly faster search across large volumes of video and events, with improved control and predictability of security processes. For us, this is more than a “big installation” - it’s a strong example of how a unified platform helps critical infrastructure operate faster, smarter, and safer. Transportation & logistics security isn’t just “the terminal” or “the road interchange.” It’s the whole chain. You can have a perfectly secure terminal and still lose time (and sometimes cargo) at the depot, the cross-dock, or the yard. And if you manage multiple sites, it gets messy fast: different camera vendors, different rules, and “local practices” nobody documented. We’ve all seen that movie. That’s why a consistent approach to video management and analytics matters across the network - airports, ports and rail yards, warehouses and DCs, fleet depots, parking areas, and remote sites that only get attention when something goes wrong. AxxonSoft’s Transportation & Logistics solution is built around that. Practical visibility and control without rewriting your entire security stack. It’s not magic, but it can take a lot of friction out of day-to-day work. What it helps with in the real world: 🚦 Gates, checkpoints, and access control: verify vehicles and entry/exit events, with footage tied to the record when someone asks later (and they will). 🚦 Yards, depots, and parking areas: track movement, reduce blind spots, and cut time spent on “when did it enter / when did it leave?” 🚦 Warehouses and cross-docks: document loading/unloading and staging so claims don’t turn into a three-day search. 🚦 Safety and early warning: fire/smoke detection can add another layer in big facilities where response time matters. 🚦 Investigations: better search and filtering, fewer “scrub the timeline for two hours” situations. If you’re designing security for transport/logistics sites and trying to keep it consistent across locations (without making operators hate you), this is worth a look: https://lnkd.in/gw6zP2JA #Transportation #Logistics #PhysicalSecurity #VideoManagement #VideoAnalytics #Warehousing #FleetOperations #PortSecurity

Managing a small video system is usually straightforward. A couple of servers, a few dozen cameras, maybe one archive - you can spot problems fast. But once you’re running multiple sites (and someone inevitably updates firmware on a Friday), manual checks stop working. You need centralized health data, not guesses. Axxon One’s System Health Monitoring pulls telemetry from cameras, servers, archives, and domains and shows it in one place - including in distributed and hybrid setups. What you can actually watch day to day: ▶️ CPU, RAM, disk load ▶️ Camera status (online/offline, recording, FPS, bitrate) ▶️ Archive performance and capacity ▶️ Disk activity + S.M.A.R.T. health ▶️ Domain connectivity and uptime You can set thresholds and get alerts when things drift, then use historical trends to figure out what’s getting worse over time. We’ve seen this save teams from the classic “everything looked fine yesterday” situation - or, well, “fine” until Monday morning. How do you know a system really works for a customer? For us, the clearest sign is when they show it to others with genuine confidence. Not as “a vendor tool,” but as something that fits naturally into their own ecosystem. And sometimes they even present it to national decision-makers as one of the practical pieces helping them reach long-term goals. That says a lot more than any slide deck. We saw this at the first Bintulu Port Digital Day on 25 November 2025. BPHB included Axxon One in their overview of how they’re preparing the port for the coming decades. They talked about it in a straightforward way and how it gives them better visibility, helps operators react faster, and supports their daily routines. And they also mentioned something that stayed with us: the system will serve as one of the foundations for their long road toward the 2050 automation plan. Maybe that’s the best kind of recognition we can get. If you’re working on similar port or industrial projects and want to exchange notes, feel free to reach out. Sometimes a quick conversation saves hours of guessing later.

Understanding Retail Security: From Features to Workflows Most people understand retail security technology on paper. Video analytics, POS integration, facial recognition - the features make sense. But when you try to implement these systems, suddenly nobody's on the same page about how they should work. We spent time analysing real implementations across multiple retailers. What we found: companies understand the tools, but they're often unclear on the workflows. How long does an investigation take? Where do you start? What happens after you identify a suspect? These are the challenges that came up repeatedly: - Stores lose money but can't determine if it's shoplifting or employee theft - Cashier fraud is happening, but it's buried in transaction data - You identify someone stealing, they return the following week - You spend weeks reviewing footage trying to find a single incident - Personnel management decisions are based on incomplete information The workflow itself is straightforward: detect a shortage, search video archives, identify the person, add them to a database, and receive alerts when they return. But here's what matters: the time between these steps. That's where most implementations not so efficient as expected. Many retailers try to catch everything at once. They install cameras everywhere and expect losses to stop immediately. They don't. What you need is a systematic process-knowing exactly what you're looking for and how long each investigation should take. We're going to walk through real scenarios: shortages, fraud, organized retail crime, and employee theft. For each one, we'll show what the problem looks like in practice, how to investigate it, and realistic timeframes. No theory-just workflows that work. Our first deep-dive post is coming soon. If you have experience with these issues or have seen patterns we should address, share them in the comments below. #Retail #Security #LossPrevention

Large energy sites rarely fail because of one “big event.” It’s usually the small things no one notices until it’s too late. That’s why purpose-built monitoring really matters - not just “adding analytics” for the sake of it. Engineers need systems that fit their workflow, not fight it. Our work with Enel X’s sites in Chile showed this pretty clearly. Harsh terrain, long perimeters, and mixed infrastructure made traditional monitoring unreliable. An AI-driven video solution tailored for critical energy infrastructure slipped into existing routines and helped operators focus on the events that actually matter, instead of chasing noise. It may sound simple, but in complex energy operations, simple usually wins. When the security stack is designed for large energy sites from day one, deployment stops feeling like a project - and starts feeling like an upgrade that just works. If you want to see how this approach could fit your facilities, we can walk through the solution anytime. Jonty Yamisha will be at ISC East, and we figured it’s a good moment to say we’re open to meeting anyone who wants a straightforward conversation about video management, analytics, or ongoing projects. Nothing formal. If you’re walking the floor anyway, it’s usually easier to talk in person. He’ll be around during the expo, and he’s interested in hearing what people are actually dealing with right now - deployments that got too complex, systems that don’t scale the way they should, or anything that’s been sitting on the “we’ll fix it later” list. And if you just want to see what we’re working on next, that’s fine too. If you’d like to set a time, just message him directly. Otherwise, feel free to stop him if you see the AxxonSoft badge.
