🧠 Navigating youth #mentalhealth care can be overwhelming. That’s why CAMH, The Hospital for Sick Children and SickKids Centre for Community Mental Health have launched Thriving Minds — a new initiative designed to make care easier to access, understand and navigate. Chief of the Collaborative for Child and Youth Mental Health, Dr. Louise Gallagher, spoke with CTV about how Thriving Minds supports young people and families in finding the right mental health care when they need it most by connecting them with available resources. YWHO Executive Director Carole-Anne Chiasson also joined CTV to discuss one of those resources, the Youth Wellness Hubs. Mental Health Is Health
About us
The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada's largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital. CAMH combines clinical care, research, education, policy development and health promotion to help transform the lives of people affected by mental health and addiction issues. As a teaching hospital, CAMH provides education, training, internships and residencies for students. People training to work in the health care field, including psychiatrists, psychologists, pharmacists, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers and laboratory technologists, come to CAMH for practical experience. We believe that Mental Health is Health, and through our work we are building a movement for social change: raising awareness, challenging prejudice, and advocating for public policies that support mental health. Please note that our social media channels are not monitored 24/7. If you are experiencing thoughts of suicide, you are deserving of help - visit www.camh.ca/gethelp for more information. If you feel safe in the moment, follow up with your family physician or care team. If you require immediate, in-person emergency care, call 911, or go to your nearest emergency department.

It’s been a year of exciting construction milestones at CAMH. 🚧✨ Our fourth and final phase of redevelopment is on track, and we're seeing the buildings take shape! Each milestone brings us closer to opening the doors to new, welcoming spaces for patients, families, and staff. Stay tuned as this transformation continues. Thank you to the CAMH staff, construction and design partners (special shout-out to our constructor, PCL Construction, for providing us with this footage), who are making this vision a reality. We can’t wait to share more progress in 2026! Learn more: camh.ca/redevelopment #MentalHealthisHealth

We're wrapping up the year by sharing, highlighting and celebrating some of the many key moments at CAMH in 2025. In November, we held our annual Suits Me Fine Fashion show, featuring nearly 30 CAMH patients. Every piece worn in the show was generously donated to Suits Me Fine and provided completely free of charge to CAMH patients. It’s a glimpse of hope stitched into everyday life! There are 3.3 million caregivers in #Ontario alone. For many people on a #mentalhealth or #addictions journey, standing alongside them is someone offering steady, unconditional support. As we move through the holiday season, a time that can bring both connection and challenges, we honour families and caregivers for their resilience, love, and unwavering belief in recovery. Your care makes a profound difference in the lives of the people we support. CAMH stands with you in recognizing the strength it takes to care for someone you love. Looking for guidance or tools?
