As we close out the year, we took time to celebrate what truly made 2025 special: our people and our partnerships. To wrap up the year, Katrin König, Leona Rüdt von Collenberg, and Leonardo Di Matteo from our leadership team spent time with our Berlin team, starting with a gallery tour and ending with a shared dinner and great conversations. In Bonn, our team joined the GBS Christmas party and celebrated together with lots of energy and well-deserved festive spirit. These moments remind us how much we’ve achieved together this year, across locations, teams, and time zones. Thank you to our entire DHL Data & AI team for your dedication, resilience, and commitment throughout 2025. We also want to extend a sincere thank you to our stakeholders and customers for the trust, collaboration, and shared ambition over the past year. Wishing everyone a relaxing holiday season and a great start into the new year. We look forward to what’s ahead in 2026.

From our DHL Data & AI side, we were glad to contribute to several core capabilities of the solution, including Ticket Auto-Routing, Incident–Problem Linkage, and Missing Input Validation. In particular, the Ticket Auto-Routing capability being highlighted in the award application, routing 243,000+ tickets with a 93.54% success rate shows what is possible when AI is applied at real enterprise scale. Delivering this level of accuracy at such volume is a strong example of AI creating tangible operational impact. This achievement is a great example of how cross-team expertise can translate innovation into measurable results. Well done to everyone involved!

We are proud to announce that our project Procurement Contract AI has won Bronze at the 2025 Group Functions Excellence Awards   This recognition celebrates the collaboration between DHL Data & AI, Procurement, and Legal teams to tackle a major challenge: analyzing thousands of procurement contracts for the DHL Group structure modernization project.   Instead of months of manual review, we developed an AI-powered solution that: 🟡 Automated the analysis of 85% of contracts across multiple languages 🟡 Extracted key legal and commercial attributes with precision 🟡 Delivered on critical timelines while reducing costs and workload Beyond meeting an immediate need, the solution creates a foundation for scalable, future-ready contract analytics and contributes to DHL’s broader digital transformation.   A huge thank you to everyone involved for their dedication and innovative spirit!

DHL Data & AI at PyCon Ireland 2025   Last week, our colleague Tom Kaltofen had the opportunity to speak and connect with the Python community at PyCon Ireland 2025, a fantastic gathering of engineers, researchers, and open-source enthusiasts pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with Python.   For us at DHL Data & AI, engaging with global tech communities is an important part of staying at the cutting edge and bringing new thinking back into our work across DHL Group.   Some of Tom’s personal highlights: Spaces > Tabs and yes, AI seems to agree. Maybe the eternal debate finally has a winner?   Coding agents are becoming undeniable. Beyond the hype, they’re showing real promise in how we build and automate software.   A standout talk: “Why, and how, all your Python Code should be Declarative” by Dom Weldon . A great deep dive into writing cleaner, more predictable code.   Tom returned inspired and full of ideas we can apply to future Data & AI initiatives across DHL’s global operations.
