🚀 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀 𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗶𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗔𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱, 𝗩𝗦 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗽𝘀𝗲! We’re excited to announce a major milestone for itemis CREATE – our powerful modeling tool is now available on three platforms: Cloud, Visual Studio Code, and Eclipse. 🌐 Go Cloud-Native: Work from Anywhere The new Cloud version of itemis CREATE brings seamless access to state machine modeling from any device, anywhere. With no installation required, you can simply open your web browser and start designing, simulating, and testing your systems. Whether you're collaborating with a remote team or switching between devices, the Cloud version offers maximum flexibility, security, and efficiency. 🧩 Now on Visual Studio Code itemis CREATE is now also available as a modern VS Code extension. This makes it easier than ever to integrate into your existing workflow. From within your favorite code editor, you can visually model complex systems, simulate and test behavior while you model. 🛠️ Still Great on Eclipse Of course, our original Eclipse-based version isn’t going anywhere. If Eclipse is your go-to IDE, you’ll still find all the advanced modeling capabilities you’ve come to rely on. 👉 Download itemis CREATE for Visual Studio Code from the marketplace https://lnkd.in/eXBbuxpG 👉 Launch the Cloud version instantly – no setup needed https://create.itemis.io 👉 Or continue using Eclipse, as always https://lnkd.in/eKzAgYw8 This is just the beginning of what’s next for itemis CREATE. We’re excited to support your innovation journey—no matter where or how you work. #itemis #itemisCREATE #ModelDrivenDevelopment #StateMachines #VSCode #CloudDevelopment #EclipseIDE #CodeGeneration #SystemsEngineering

  • Artificial intelligence (AI) has become an integral part of modern software development, with tools like GitHub Copilot and concepts like vibe coding leading the way. These AI-powered assistants promise notable efficiency gains at the micro level by helping developers complete programming tasks more quickly. In fact, studies show that GitHub Copilot can improve task completion time by up to 55%. Yet, in real-world software projects, coding speed alone doesn’t determine success. These projects are shaped not only by technical complexity—such as algorithms, system architecture, and interfaces—but also by social complexity, which includes communication, coordination, and stakeholder alignment. As team sizes grow, so does the effort required to keep everyone on the same page. According to Brooks’ Law, adding more developers to a delayed project tends to delay it even further—mainly due to rising coordination overhead. ⚡ Micro-Efficiency: Where AI Shines AI-based development tools like GitHub Copilot can significantly boost developer productivity. They assist with code completions, reduce routine work, and free developers to focus on more meaningful challenges. However, despite these time-saving benefits at the individual level, the overall duration of large-scale projects typically remains unaffected. The micro-efficiencies of faster coding do not automatically translate into macro-level acceleration. ⚡ Macro-Complexity: The Real Challenge In large projects, macro-complexity dominates. Coordinating multiple developers, testers, designers, and stakeholders demands constant communication. Studies reveal that developers often spend less than half of their time on actual coding—much of their effort goes into meetings, documentation, and aligning work across teams. While AI can streamline code writing, it doesn’t solve the deeper, human-driven challenges of collaboration, integration, and decision-making. ⚡ The Limits of AI-Driven Acceleration Even when AI significantly speeds up coding tasks, the total time savings are limited. That’s because phases like planning, testing, integration, and stakeholder alignment remain unchanged. This aligns with Amdahl’s Law: a system’s overall speed is limited by the parts that cannot be parallelized. In software development, these non-parallelizable components are often organizational, not technical. ⚡ Vibe Coding in Practice Vibe Coding - a term coined by Andrej Karpathy—refers to describing desired functionality in natural language and having an AI generate the code. While promising for small-scale prototypes, it faces real limitations in complex environments. Key concerns include: • Architecture & consistency • Code understanding • Integration & testing Want to read the full article? 👉 https://lnkd.in/ehp-9UfQ

A few hours ago, Julius Ganns posted an interesting video on BYD and commented on how Tesla is not the main competition for German OEMs anymore. As a comment, I expect Tesla also to have a harder time with the rise of the chinese vehicles. CarClub just released a comparison of a Deepal S07 with Tesla at https://lnkd.in/eqgvtyCg and they prefer Deepal. In this comparison, Deepal ADAS / autonmous driving is preferred, too.
