❄️ Let it snow. Let it glow. Let it show. ✨ Who still has a Particle Snowflake hanging on their tree or on display as holiday decor? Powered by a P2 WiFi module, this festive-themed PCB is equipped with 36 RGB LEDs to create colorful patterns and effects, an onboard speaker to play seasonal tunes, and even a microphone to enable additional features. The best part? It's completely customizable. While it may no longer be on sale, it's snow-pen source! Files and firmware can be found on GitHub: https://lnkd.in/gef264BT

"For the maker interested in building something on the Internet of Things, there could be no better gift than the Particle Tachyon. An impressively-capable single-board computer featuring the powerful Qualcomm Dragonwing QCM6490, the Tachyon boasts 5G cellular connectivity with 4G LTE fallback — plus Wi-Fi 6E for connection to a local network..." Hackster.io has named Tachyon one of the year's must-have SBCs for every IoT enthusiast's holiday wishlist! https://lnkd.in/ejJhWY7M
Bar owners, stop losing profits from overpouring! If a bartender goes slightly over by only an eighth of an ounce per drink, it leads to over two ounces of liquor wasted per hour. That might not seem like a lot, but seemingly insignificant excesses in portioning accumulate over time into significant financial losses. 🍸💸 But not for long! For his capstone project, Ethan Walper designed a device that aims to solve this industry problem by teaching its user how to pour like a pro with the help of a Particle Photon 2 and an Adafruit Industries dashboard.

Open source #AIoT moves to the edge—and beyond! Our Pareto Anywhere #opensource #IoT middleware runs on the #ParticleTachyon, which itself runs anywhere with its 5G connectivity, GNSS location-awareness and flexible power options! 🤓 Thanks to Particle for making our dream hardware a reality and to Devicom inc for working with us to develop the pair into an enterprise-grade solution for autonomous remote sensing, monitoring and tracking. 👍👍 Together let's break free from black-box M2M and IoT in 2026! 🎉
Has Santa Claus come to town? 🎅 Last Christmas, Thomas Vikström built a fun little device that used Particle's B524 SoM and computer vision to jingle bells when it detects the jolly old elf himself through a window: https://lnkd.in/enMWPR6c 🎁 Whether you'd like to recreate the project with your kids or want a B-SoM in your stocking this holiday, you can now get a free M.2 SoM Breakout Board with the purchase of either the B404XMEA, B524MEA, and/or B504EMEA on the Particle Store — for a limited time only! https://lnkd.in/e2Sam-Yb
Roadside stands often get festive this time of year, selling everything from maple syrup, homemade jams, and seasonal produce to decor like wreaths, garland, and fresh pine. But even with Santa watching, sometimes the honor system needs more than a little holiday cheer. Enter Eric Pietrowicz's payment-gated lockbox — a Particle M404-powered cabinet that stays locked until a Stripe transaction is complete, then unlocks automatically. While originally designed for neighborhood honey sales, the same principle can be applied to other self-service businesses, including Christmas tree farms and craft fairs.
