Above Average

Guest Post by Jim Kunstler

“The left can act with an insane decentralized unanimity typically seen only in the insect kingdom.” —Curtis Yarvin

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, flummoxed

All winters are winters of discontent, but some winters are more discontented than others, and this one is like being stuck in a smoke-filled sod hut on the lonely prairie, with lice crawling under your hair-shirt, while a sleet-storm rages outside. . . . And it was only just Christmas days ago!

Immigrants, legal and otherwise, are the gifts that keep on giving. Minnesota is acting all indignant now over the discovery that its many thousands of Somali guests made a major industry of looting the government. What is it with Garrison Keillor’s upright descendants of the pioneers? I guess they’re not as “above average” as he used to tell us.

POST RETIREMENT BEG-A-THON

The picture below worked so well last year, I figured it can’t hurt to use it again.

Image

There is only about a month left in the year, so this is the last solicitation for donations until next year. First I’d like to thank all of the TBPers who have contributed, and continue to contribute to keep the lights on at TBP. Your generosity is much appreciated. As most know, I retired from the rat race after 40 years working for someone else and getting a monthly paycheck. I’ve been retired for a month and I’m loving it.

I now get to spend the majority of my time running TBP. I feel reinvigorated and am now writing on a daily and weekly basis, rather than one article every 4 to 8 weeks. I was essentially just maintaining TBP over the last few years because I was tired out and didn’t have the time to write. My plan is to write daily rants about whatever is pissing me off that day, shorter 500 to 1,000 word articles on a specific topic, and then my longer articles on the big picture as laid out in The Fourth Turning.

BREAKING: Trump, Epstein, and the Breakdown of Order in Washington

Submitted by CCRider

In an effort to cleanse the souls of the few and yet fading members suffering in the Trump Lonely Hearts Club, I offer the following treatment. It is a 20 minute essay by John Mearsheimer, who I’ve come to put on my “must hear” list. In it he deconstructs Trump’s incredibly grotesque and petty veto of a bill that would have provided drinking water to some 50,000 Americans, most of whom were Trump supporters. “Not White Supremacy To Investigate Fraud”: Citizen Journalists Flood Democratic Cities

Via ZeroHedge

Citizen journalists are descending on corrupt, Democratic-run cities this week to investigate taxpayer-subsidized daycare centers, signaling a new form of crowd-driven oversight. Think of it as a localized DOGE-style effort aimed at investigating alleged welfare fraud linked to Somali communities and others who steal from taxpayers.

As we correctly noted on Monday, the so-called “Nick Shirley Effect” appears to be taking hold nationwide, with citizen journalists investigating taxpayer-subsidized daycare operations in Minneapolis, Washington, Ohio, Philadelphia, and other Democratic-run cities.

Initial Democratic Party counter-messaging to combat Shirley’s bombshell report has defaulted to labeling citizen journalists as “white nationalists” or “racists,” but this familiar response from an increasingly unhinged party is losing effectiveness, as on-the-ground reporting reveals countless examples of daycare centers that are either empty or not functioning at expected capacity during peak hours, raising mounting questions over whether some may simply be front companies to extract taxpayer funds.

The “AMERICAN STASI” is watching everyone, everywhere, all the time…..

Via State of the Nation

…via different levels of spying and surveillance, monitoring and snooping, of course; which is
dictated by how serious a threat the subject may
pose to the ubiquitous BEAST System.

When my wife and I first moved into our very middle class subdivision here in North Florida, I knew that something was very wrong from the get-go.  Of course, because of my extremely impactful personal experiences with family and ‘close friends’ since early childhood, as well as several highly consequential events within various communities over the course of my lifetime briefly described HERE, I had always known that I was a Targeted Individual (TI), but not in the way that most TIs talk about being targeted.  In my case, it was literally like the Truman Show where I was the target but the many watchers were VERY careful about revealing that fact.

Doug Casey on Anarchy and Voluntaryism

Guest Post by Doug Casey

You’re likely aware that I’m a libertarian. But I’m actually more than a libertarian. I don’t believe in the right of the State to exist. The reason is that anything that has a monopoly of force is extremely dangerous. As Mao Tse-tung, lately one of the world’s leading experts on government, said: “The power of the state comes out of a barrel of a gun.”

How to Profit From the Changing World Order: The Investment Implications of a New Global Power Structure

Guest Post by Nick Giambruno

Congratulations.

You are alive to experience a shift in the world order.

These transformations don’t happen every year—or even every decade. Many people go their entire lives without seeing one unfold.

Such periods are volatile and dangerous but also present extraordinary opportunities—moments where fortunes and generational wealth are created.

Changes in the world order are historical events with immense investment implications.

2025: The Year the Government Stopped Pretending It Cared About Freedom

Guest Post by John W. Whitehead

Some years chip away at freedom. Others tear the mask off.

2025 was the year the government stopped pretending it was constrained by the Constitution—when executive power expanded openly and unapologetically, surveillance became ambient, dissent became dangerous, and the machinery of militarized government embedded itself into daily life.

Under Trump 2.0, the erosion of civil liberties gave way to something more brazen: the dismantling of constitutional government itself.

What made 2025 different was not any single abuse of power, but the relentless accumulation of them. The losses mounted week by week, crisis by crisis, executive order by executive order, until exhaustion itself became a political condition.

Outrage no longer led to accountability; it simply rolled into the next emergency.

President Trump again gives in to Netanyahu

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

Trump assured the Israeli Prime Minister that the United States would attack Iran if Iran continues it’s missile program and or rebuilds its civilian nuclear program, which Trump claims to have put out of action for Israel. As both of these conditions are likely to be present. Americans should prepare for Trump to attack Iran in their name, but in service to Israel.

Americans who Love their Country should adopt America First as their New Year’s Resolution

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

Gary Heavin and Mike Adams discuss MAGA Divided between Israel First and America First.  https://www.naturalnews.com/2025-12-02-zionist-influence-sparks-gop-backlash-over-israel-first-politics.html

It is distressing, but true, that Israel not only controls America’s media and publishing, entertainment, financial sector, Middle East foreign policy, but also the Republican House and Senate, the Republican Party, Republican governors, President Trump, and half of MAGA America.  It is a joke to speak of the United States as a sovereign nation.

The power that Israel exercises over the United States is even greater. Israel’s power has canceled rights guaranteed by the United States Constitution, such as free speech.

THIS DAY IN HISTORY – Subway shooter Bernhard Goetz turns himself in – 1984

Via History.com

Bernhard Goetz, the white man who shot four young Black men on a New York City subway train, turns himself in at a police station in Concord, New Hampshire. Goetz claimed that the men were trying to rob him and that he had acted in self-defense. At the time, New York was in the midst of a crime wave and Goetz was viewed by some people as a hero, an ordinary citizen fighting back against his supposed attackers.
