A note from Jesús Sanchez, Eastsider Publisher

Dear Reader,

Fifteen years ago, The Eastsider was a one-man blog — just me, a notebook, a phone and a computer. I covered community meetings, missing taco trucks, and coyote sightings.

Today, The Eastsider is powered by a small but mighty team of reporters and editors who bring you fact-based, neighborhood-specific news every day — stories you won’t find anywhere else.

We still write about crime and coyotes, but we also cover local government and schools, new restaurants and business openings, and much more. No matter what we write about, our focus remains on the Eastside.

We keep it all free and accessible for everyone —but that only works with support from readers. Readers like you.

As we approach the final days of our year-end fundraiser, please consider contributing today if The Eastsider has helped you stay informed and connected to your community.

Your monthly or one-time contribution helps pay our reporters, expand coverage, and keep The Eastsider free and accessible for all.

Sincerely,

Jesús Sanchez
