I disliked that I didn’t have an answer…
I disliked that I had not an answer in urgent circumstances when the schedule of the boat cancelled and I sent an email and that I had not a telephone number for communication.
31/12 we book tickets from Chios Island…
31/12 we book tickets from Chios Island Greece to Cesme Turkey the company name was Tilos Makri Travel. The return tickets was the other day 01/01 with other company named Erturk.
The normal price for thickets go and come is 50 euros each, if you travel with same company for going and come back, but because we choose different company for go to Cesme we paid 76 euros each person.
The other day they call us from Makri Travel office and We were informed that because the vessel had very few passengers, we would be transferred to the next available ferry, with a different departure time and a different arrival time in Çeşme. They did not ask us; they simply made the decision, ordered it, and carried it out.
The next ferry we were transferred to was the one for which we could have booked tickets and paid €50, but we deliberately chose the other company because it reached our destination faster and we paid €76 per person.
Shouldn’t the extra money we paid to travel with Tilos Makri Travel be refunded in full, since we did not travel with that company and were placed on a ferry whose tickets were cheaper?
Once again, they prove how unfit both the shipping companies and the intermediary agencies are for this line of work. None of them dealt with the issue at all, claiming that they bear no responsibility. In the end, am I and my family to blame for being robbed???
Potential scam? Never again!
1. Was told I could add pets... then no pets appeared on my booking.
2. Price more than tripled by the time I got to checkout, despite no additional extras. Lots of 'hidden costs'.
3. The booking reference provided to me by Ferryscanner 'did not exist' in the ferry provider's system!!! So I don't even know if I am able to travel.
4. Customer service has been less than helpful.
I honestly think this website might be a scam. Never again. Thanks for nothing but stress, Ferryscanner! 👍
Sold me a ticket with no baggage allowance!?!?
Sold me a ticket for a speedboat ferry in Thailand .. with, wait for it.. no baggage allowance, despite there being no reference or prompt to add or remove baggage during the booking process. When I contacted them for help they told me to sort it out directly with the ferry company. Clearly they don’t accept responsibility for the products they sell and the booking process is not transparent. This left us completely in the dark not knowing whether we could travel or not and if we needed to buy another ticket?? We had already spent over a £100 with ferryscanner. I would recommend going direct to tiger line ferry or satun speedboats instead of using an unhelpful unaccountable broker like ferryscanner.

I contacted the Chatrobot to change infos concerning my identity card. I had an immediate answer and was transferred to customer service.
Savvas very kindly and quickly helped me and said hé would make the necessary modification. He then informed me by mail that it had been done.

Reduced tickets due to disability.
While you accept a discount for people with disabilities, there was no discount for the vehicle while I have an 81% disability. Also, it is very common in transportation for the companion to also have a discount when the disability is severe.
My trip was cancelled
My trip was cancelled, but it's impossible to refund my tickets. The operator company claims I should cancel my tickets at the place of purchase, but the webstite is dysfunctional. The "cancel" button does nothing. The "support" is a fake link that does not lead anywhere. The "chat" feature (whatever is was) is disabled and just redirects to the main page.
All that after I payed extra for tickets to be "refundable". The whole service is an utter disaster.

Fantastic customerservice
Aggeliki provided me a fantastic customer service! She made sure I got a refund when a ferry company cancelled a departure to Marokko due to bad weather. She also arranged for me to get a refund for the return trip that was booked with another ferry company that had not cancelled. The money was in my account after two days.
