Grandma Heaven

Duff had just finished his second round of chemo when Bridger and Cassidy came to stay for nine days, and we were wondering if Duff would feel up to it, but he was a great sport.

Here he is playing Just Dance 3 with Bridger from the couch.

Bridger loves that game and we played it an hour a day. At first, Bridger only wanted to dance to the Halloween song, but by the end of the week he liked the superhero song, the Egyptian song, and the lollipop song.

It took me a couple of days to adjust to the all-consuming care taking, but it all came back to me and I found my groove.

We became quite attached to each other.

We had a fun outing one afternoon at Jumpin' Jacks with Robbie and Luke.

Robbie ran from slide to slide.

Luke had to warm up to the blow up toys, but he had a great time on the merry-go-round.

Bridger and Cassidy fought over the airplane's steering wheel.

Ah, sibling rivalry.

This girl is fearless and kept me on my toes.

Bridger loved Music and Movement at the library.

Cassidy loved to take the toys out of the basket and get into it herself.

I was in Grandma Heaven and think that I had more fun than Tiffany did on her cruise!

Birthday/Chinese New Year

We celebrated Reed's birthday and the Chinese New Year.

This is the year of the dragon.

The year of the Dragon is the year for great deeds, innovative ideas and big projects.

Dragon gives happiness and success to all good and honest people. Also, those who have great talent. 

In our family we have:

4 pigs: Duff, Micaela, Tiffany, Robbie

3 rats: Gary, Mandi, Bridger

3 tigers: Yara, Luke, Cassidy

1 dog: Don

1 rabbit: Ryan

1 snake: Reed

1 dragon: Britney

1 monkey: Ben

Robbie and Luke liked their stuffed pig and tiger.

Robbie had fun playing with a dragon puppet,

 a Chinese yoyo,

and a giant dragon helium balloon.

We made the traditional birthday cake for Reed.

When Reed went to blow out the candles, Ryan put his hand out at the exact moment to stop the air.

That guy is pretty funny.

Wishing Reed another terrific year!

Micaela's New Job

Micaela has been taking Suzuki Teacher Training classes and just got her first student!

She's having a blast!

Treehouse Museum

Sometimes life gets a little complicated, and when Gary's company moved him to Texas three weeks before Tiffany's birthday cruise with her mom, grandma and sister, she spent those weeks with her parents. One day, Micaela and I picked them up and took them to one of our favorite places--The Treehouse Museum in Ogden.

We are going to miss them all terribly!
