while some days are so very long, the months and years go by so very fast. it’s nearly the end of march and I just realized I haven’t blogged in over a month and never posted our february one-a-day. oops.

they went back to school. I went back to work. lots of laughter. lots of tears.

I’d say reese is growing like a weed, but they all are. drew is so very tall, cal is closer to three than two and reesey is quite the giggle monster.

while we continue to navigate through rough waters, these three little pigs fill my heart with joy and make our mundane oh, so memorable.

a quick trip to cali was good for the mind, body and spirit too.

I went back to work this week.

It’s only a temp gig, so we have a hybrid day care solution.

Wednesdays are daddy’s day…

 

twinkle…

i never was one of those mom’s who verbalized every action, chatted in the car or sang while changing diapers to encourage baby speech development. I kind of felt bad when it was just drew, but honestly I’m just not much of a talker. or a singer for that matter.

but the one thing I’ve done almost daily with all three babies was sing Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star at bedtime. it’s probably the only lullaby which I still remember all the words and the tune. i also twist the lyrics, so the kiddos names are the “diamond” in the sky.

so the other day, I caught Callie singing it to baby Reese.

she’s not the most gentle, but she’s only two and she loves her sister ever so passionately.

 

regardless of how many times I have to tell her to use soft hands, I hope the love she feels for her baby sister never fades.

and luckily drew and callie talk enough now to fill up any silence the rest of us might have hoped for…

because our photo-a-day challenge continues for 2013!

this month has been particularly unique because I got to spend almost every waking moment with three little monkeys. they are growing and changing almost daily it seems. and looking back on all 366 photos from last year is like having a diary. and I love it. especially since I don’t have as much time to blog these days. 

my only hope or challenge for 2013, is to be less dependent on my iPhone camera (it’s just so dang convenient) and spend more time with my SLR…there just isn’t much room in a diaper bag once it’s packed for three.
